I guess what am trying to say is that...even us here on this board predicted what was awaiting them ( am sure you remember) ..and that most likley the moves would hurt them and their carrier.....so how could their manager's/agents...family and ppl that are close to them and know a thing or two about the game not have warned them?? ( specially when you are going to a heavyweight club such as Hollywood)

No--I said the opposite. However, even if they had stayed there was no guarantee they would have made it. BTW--e-mail me when you get a chance....

But i think we both agree...if they had stayed in Gladbach they had a better chance of elevating their game and be a starter vs bench warmer...am not saying they would make it BIG...like Reus or Kruse but they would have been in the right place...in order to have the best chance of exceling

Reus has not been that good since he left..... Ditto Kruse. Still solid players, of course, especially Reus.

I was actually thinking the same thing...you are right neither have been shining like they did with us:thumbsdown:
Maybe its me but specially Kruse was something else in a Gladbach Jersey...he is certainly surrounded with all the top quality players a footballer needs in order to elevate his game to the next level..but I've watched many VW games this season and he is nowhere as dynamic and free flowing as he was with us:confused:
You wonder if any of the guys we lost will ever return???I doubt it we are not the kind of club to hire old players...unless its an exceptional scenario and case o_O
And how about Dante?? He has lost his fire massively...i wouldn't be surprised if he ends up more on the bench at vw vs being on the pitch:(

I really doubt it, but you never know--Effe came back after all (saw him play in Chicago, many years ago)

I knew you would pull Effe out of the bag..lol:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
But he was exceptional both as a player and also as a super motivator and leader.Sad to see that breed of player no longer exists ...and literally he was a one man show...i remember he caused a lot of noise/anger in the club and amongst the fans because of his contract and fees...but we all saw he was worth every dollar

After seeing Kruse's ugly painted car ....it was pretty much obvious he has a few loose screws
But after hearing about his gambling habits and loosing 80,000 Euros ( 5000 on hookers ) and 75000 in the cab ride next....its official.I mean wow...whats wrong with this world...God gives the best things to those who deserve it the least.I would also worry about Jogi and the Nationalelf...this kind of mindset is worse than cancer:speechless::speechless::speechless:

Repots today in Kicker seem to indicate that he is in trouble there. Had an issue with a fan and a camera too, while out for his birthday celebration.

You wonder how deep stupidity runs eh??? To have all this talent and such a position in society and making a great living playing the game you love....and dive down such path!

Happens all the time. I think these guys think that their talent entitles them in some way. Just look at Johnny Manzel, for example (American Football (gridiron) reference, for those who are not here in the US).

Yea Manzel is another one ( even tho in his case i think they pushed his buttons a lot too ). Actually lots of such cases in the NFL ( US Pro's basically) which again makes you wonder... back in the day when Marino was QB at Miami ...their talented RB Cecil Collins talk of the entire National League...breaking into his x girlfriends apt...and you know how Florida state works...the courts are cut throat period :(
He was finished in less than minutes...entire carrier down the tube..such a unique running back with massive talent/strength that they used to call him "Diesel"
Funny thing Max seemed to be a good boy in Gladbach...something must be in the water at Golfsburg???

A lot about this article makes sense regarding Max...i didn't know all these details!

And this part of the article is just golden and am sure we all agree collectively when it comes to "BILD"

"But, then again it is a well known fact that finding journalistic integrity at Bild is less likely than finding a virgin in a brothel." thats a slam dunk :speechless:
