Thought I would bump this thread to share something from last night’s game. This thread was made for Drag’s girl by an old friend of the board, Dave Brull. Last night at the top of 101, we had Lilli, Max (Dave’s boy was mentioned multiple times in this thread), and my two little ones together. They may say this board is all about complaining about everything Crew and getting into flame wars with each other. Let them say that. Sometimes it is. And then other times you have a handful of posters who bring their kids together for a second generation Realist Kids Fan edition in the Nordecke. (Honorable mention to Connor, DnD’s baby boy who has made it to more Crew games than I have in a combined four years, and Placid’s boy, Joe, who said hello and who has been standing in the supporters’ section since he was a small child).
Since this was called into question, I’m hoping to win them all back right away. She was born during halftime of the Real Esteli beat down.
Sounds like she heard the goals being scored, and thought "get me the hell out of here so I can watch highlights, mom!"
The Crew family will be adding a new West Coast member in mid October. One of the early favorites for their* name is....Crew** *We don't know the gender yet. ** The wife has never been to a Crew game and will watch the occasional game with me. The name is her idea.
And if the new member of the family ends up being named Crew, nominations for realist fan are officially closed. Maybe forever.
I'm just glad this child wasn't brought into the world a couple years ago. You would have been forced to have Crew's middle name start with SC.
Well, I don't want to brag, but since you asked. Mookie is set to graduate Med school in May and Roo will get his MBA a week later. Roo is also engaged and in a development that his fossilized old man just can't get his head around, she was the one who proposed. Do kids today really do this?
Congrats! Just wait until they start singing Wise Men Say with you. I still almost cry when Connor starts belting it out.
I'm surprised you're surprised. This is your pinko commie, vegan son, correct? Obviously, a man proposing is toxic masculinity (I have heard this in real life) and women are popping the question more and more. Have some gin.
Dr. Archer. Your better half must be so proud. She proposed? Wow. What a girl. I love that you get that experience with Connor. Markus has taken over the studio office downstairs, and he has been playing lots of FIFA. Tim and I will be sitting upstairs, when we hear him singing Crew chants as he plays. Precious stuff, man. If his one boy is Roo, that would be hard to distinguish from my dad’s favorite nickname for me, aRoo. Also, I have three brothers. And I try to keep tabs on all of them.
