Wondo should have been on the pass into the center from Vako. It was a tap in.

 

Lopez is a "seat filler" until we get a genuine back, i never bought into him being a solution.

 

Magnus is doing corner kicks as futile as he did last season.

 

This has devolved into an ugly game, fully befitting the setting in the Bronx...

 

Quakes look the better team from minute 46-60, but still waste too many good opportunities.

These are good teams the rest of the way, it's a gauntlet.

 

Pussy-ass Central Defender for NYFC.

 

I had to look that up, but a goalie can pick up a ball from a throw-in from the other team, just not his own team.

 

Wondo is way too slow for any of Vako’s passes except the first one for the goal.

 

Judson saves goal #3 off the line.

 

I thought a small field would benefit the quakes style of play. But announcers are saying NYCFC uses the small field to more easily play direct.

I forget what I heard on a recent pod about how RBNY changes their game to beat their rivals away... but sure wish Almeyda could do that

 

Cristian has been totally ineffective today. Stifled by the 67 yard-wide pitch. No way is that 70 yards.

 

Wondo looking frustrated maybe time to bring in Hoesen who hopefully can get back in track.

OTOH, the smaller dimensions work well for Vako.

The modern Quake style is just so dependent on space. The need full-field switches. They need to draw defenders from the center.
