So...all the navy ISN'T the same... A Nike "template" thing doesn't excuse blues being different. If they can make navy stripes, they can make it the same navy on the sleeves. It's not that complicated. It's really no different than what NFL teams (Cowboys and Eagles, notably) face when there's multiple shades they face because Nike cannot get the colorations proper. Top stripe is definitely a lighter shade. Clearly see the difference at Dom's left shoulder. A look at the shorts: Everyone, meet @Ddwyer14. @Ddwyer14, meet everyone. Off topic, but I just learned from browsing this site that the Thai/Hong Kong sellers are now making knockoff throwback jerseys...which explains why so many of those Euro 88 kits have shown up on eBay lately. http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/retro-version-1988-european-cup-classic-vintage/388140332.html
Has anyone been able to find the new jersey in stores? Since its all sold out online, was wondering if there was a Brick & Mortar option. Ideally would like to get one before the Gold Cup Finals.
I was just in our local store (Soccerloco) on Friday and they had some still on display. They have 4 stores in the San Diego area too. These are in such short supply that I'm wondering if I should get a second one! I love this one so much that I'll probably be wearing it a lot. Mine is in getting a name/number right now. Interesting that this jersey uses the exact same letters and numbers as the current USA red jersey (the Portugal copy).
Found one at a local Seattle place called Soccer West! I went to a couple dicks sporting goods and they had no US gear whatsoever.
Dicks Sporting Goods website has a full size run and is running a $20 off $100 sale. Comes to $135 + local taxes. Kits aren't the cheapest so helps to save a little bread.
Tonight was the first I've seen of the new warmup shirts. Those blue shirts with the white stars look like pajamas.
Look what finally arrived from Guangzhou! The badge is iffy, and the stripes on the front don't line up with the stripes on the back, but I don't really like this jersey enough to drop 150 bucks on the authentic (plus I waited so long I can't really find any around here). The Thai sellers always seem to make better adidas knockoffs than Nike knockoffs. I picked up a Chicago Fire away gray that's almost perfect.
I can't vouch for DhGate in terms of jerseys (though I've gotten other things from there). I have used minejerseys though, and they're pretty damn good knockoffs though the shipping is damn slow and the sizes tend to run small, so if you're a medium I'd suggest getting a large, or if you're a large I'd suggest getting an XL etc. They currently have the Gold Cup kit for 25, with free shipping
I just searched (as someone above did) for USA Gold Cup and found the one with the best reviews on DH Gate.
Can anyone who bought an official "vapor match Gold Cup jersey" confirm whether they run tight (tailored/trim/slim/tapered whatever they call it)?"
I tried on an authentic Man City vapor shirt a few weeks ago. It's definitely slim, but for me at least it wasn't tight enough to make me want to size up like some others have made me want to.
I don't expect you to dig back and find it, but I posted a pretty detailed review of the jersey with info on the fit. Bottom line: It is NOT the typical tight, 1-size down fit we've seen on previous "match" jerseys. I usually fit into a XL Match jersey and a Large "stadium" jersey, but the XL version of this Gold Cup Vapor kit fit like a loose bag on me. The Large fits a bit snug but much better. here is my post: https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/new-usmnt-kits-crest.2028905/page-31#post-35626101
how much the local taxes? I used to buy on Soccer777 which $16.99 each, but they charged the shipping fee for each item, and promise that i need not to pay the taxes
Supposedly the design has leaked for our 2018 World Cup Kit (if we get there), take it with a grain of salt but I like them. This is the guy's best estimation as to what they look like http://news.sportslogos.net/2017/09/23/2018-world-cup-template-usa-design-details-leaked/
