you're confused. the nuclear option is implementing the 60 votes to shut down debate (ie filibusters) They don't need to go the nuclear option because they have a majority. Provided the Dems don't filibuster.
I don’t think that’s how it works. At least not from what I’ve been hearing. They will have already used it if that were the case.
So he made his choice. You think its cool for Canada to let him back in? Citizenship revoked and he can stay in his ancestral homeland. Its that simple.
I think you are wrong because a GOP Congress voted for it last week before they relinquished control. Either way, Obama played everyone a fool for 8 years! Bill and Hilary for 30! I’d rather Trump play me the fool as opposed to any Democrat and/or bleeding heart liberal! Aside from any of those rules though, there is absolutely no reason on why the Dems shouldn’t give him those votes. We are talking about a lousy $5 billion which Dems agreed to before now they are against this? They waste away that much in their sleep!
https://www.nhregister.com/news/art...men-with-deep-voices-due-to-rare-13526385.php I think the bigger news is that women actually listen to men ?
To be honest I think the border wall is pointless. The drug cartels and human traffickers make so much money doing what they do that they will find way around the wall. I mean they already build tunnels into the USA... It will put a halt to the over land illegal immigration or at least slow it down. Anyways the major take away from this bullshit is we as the American people need to look at what our country is spending money on. There should be this amount of attention for everything the goverment does its the only way to keep things in line.
When you put it that way I see your point. It's war and he chose his country. You and @calabrese8 are right. I sympathize with him because he fought for his people against an invading army, but that's not what you guys were talking about. Yeah, Canada is kinda stupid for giving him so much money. Did they even have anything to do with his detainment in Guantanamo?
The Senate has its own rules, including the 60 to break filibuster. I say go ahead and filibuster because at some point, it has to stop. Sill old parliamentary rules. Ryan was a complete waste. He tanked Trump, he tanked the House, he tanked the party. We should have known when he ********ed up the health care debacle. He had no intention to work with Trump's agenda. Sold his soul. Idiots who believe that only taxing the highest portion at 70% are too stupid to realize that achieving that goal will not happen. There is no incentive to get past that point, which means loss of production. Those who do get that point will find a way to redistribute elsewhere and avoid the tax. We have been through this before. Many corporations were headquartered elsewhere with lower tax rates. By reducing the tax rates, Trump has them returning to the US, which increases revenues. But no one ever made a claim that socialists were smart.
Paul Ryan is to blame then. I have yet to hear Trump say that. Must be because he is more interested in political theatre than his policy agenda you're barking up the wrong tree, no-one is proposing a 70% corporate tax rate.
Trump knows that he will need the establishment to get anything done. He is no fool. He knows who to work with, who to deal with. But Ryan was a complete failure as Speaker.
It does not apply to corporations only. Those who produce are those who make the economy go. If you think a high tax rate is going to affect the silver spoon kids, their money is tied in trusts. There is always a way around. The little girl from the Bronx has no clue.
Better healthcare and education? The Dems claim they have been for both for years and nothing ever changed. We have Obamacare which has cost taxpayers billions and which has been a disaster. Simce 1980, we also have had a branch of the department of education since in place which has also spent billions and no one knows its function or purpose as education has never improved. Neither healthcare or education has been improved by the government , left or right. If anything , in California, the schools got their money from the California lottery which was voted for in 1986 but that’s about it. They don’t get much from the government. I had to work and pay myself through college and I never got a dime from our government nor did they ever help me. Also, whether Trump builds a wall along the southern border for the cost that taxpayers use to fund 4 NFL stadiums which make team owners richer will also never improve or hinder either healthcare or education as they are completely different branches.
Yeah Ryan , Corker , Flake and John. McCain never had any intention of trying to work with Trump. They all felt entitled and were pissed that they didn’t win the presidency or rather that he did. They were all for and voted for every agenda with the exception of McCain who even though he campaigned to abolish , put thumbs down on healthcare. If that isn’t hate, I don’t know what is. Honestly, although I hope McCain rests in peace, I’m really glad they are all gone as they didn’t do a thing to help the GOP.
those who produce, ie the working class won't be affected. her proposal to to change the highest income tax rate to 70c on the dollar and it will only apply to 5 mil and up. If you think it won't collect any revenue than why oppose it?
Sorry Signori Falvo and Falc, no manna today... Long-term effects of a ketogenic diet in obese patients Hussein M Dashti, MD PhD FICS FACS,1 Thazhumpal C Mathew, MSc PhD FRCPath,4 Talib Hussein, MB ChB,5 Sami K Asfar, MB ChB MD FRCSEd FACS,1 Abdulla Behbahani, MB ChB FRCS FACSI PhD FICS FACS,1 Mousa A Khoursheed, MB ChB FRCS FICS,1 Hilal M Al-Sayer, MD PhD FICS FACS,1 Yousef Y Bo-Abbas, MD FRCPC,2 and Naji S Al-Zaid, BSc PhD3 CONCLUSIONS: The present study shows the beneficial effects of a long-term ketogenic diet. It significantly reduced the body weight and body mass index of the patients. Furthermore, it decreased the level of triglycerides, LDL cholesterol and blood glucose, and increased the level of HDL cholesterol. Administering a ketogenic diet for a relatively longer period of time did not produce any significant side effects in the patients. Therefore, the present study confirms that it is safe to use a ketogenic diet for a longer period of time than previously demonstrated. D-beta-hydroxybutyrate protects neurons in models of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Kashiwaya Y1, Takeshima T, Mori N, Nakashima K, Clarke K, Veech RL. Our previous work in heart showed that ketone bodies, normal metabolites, can correct defects in mitochondrial energy generation. The ability of ketone bodies to protect neurons in culture suggests that defects in mitochondrial energy generation contribute to the pathophysiology of both brain diseases. These findings further suggest that ketone bodies may play a therapeutic role in these most common forms of human neurodegeneration. Behav Pharmacol. 2006 Sep; 17(5-6): 431–439. PMCID: PMC2367001 NIHMSID: NIHMS42857 PMID: 16940764 Neuroprotective and disease-modifying effects of the ketogenic diet Maciej Gasior,a Michael A. Rogawski,a and Adam L. Hartmana, Conclusions A wide variety of evidence suggests that the ketogenic diet could have beneficial disease-modifying effects in epilepsy and also in a broad range of neurological disorders characterized by death of neurons. Additionally, biochemical changes induced by the diet – including the ketosis, high serum fat levels, and low serum glucose levels – could contribute to protection against neuronal death by apoptosis and necrosis through a multitude of additional mechanisms, including antioxidant and antiinflammatory actions. Theoretically, the ketogenic diet might have greater efficacy in children than in adults, inasmuch as younger brains have greater capacity to transport and utilize ketone bodies as an energy source (Rafiki et al., 2003; Vannucci and Simpson, 2003; Pierre and Pellerin, 2005). Am Coll Nutr. 1995 Apr;14(2):202-8. Effects of a ketogenic diet on tumor metabolism and nutritional status in pediatric oncology patients: two case reports. Nebeling LC1, Miraldi F, Shurin SB, Lerner E. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Tumor glucose metabolism was assessed by Positron Emission Tomography (PET), comparing [Fluorine-18] 2-deoxy-2-fluoro-D-glucose (FDG) uptake at the tumor site before and following the trial period. RESULTS: Within 7 days of initiating the ketogenic diet, blood glucose levels declined to low-normal levels and blood ketones were elevated twenty to thirty fold. Results of PET scans indicated a 21.8% average decrease in glucose uptake at the tumor site in both subjects. One patient exhibited significant clinical improvements in mood and new skill development during the study. She continued the ketogenic diet for an additional twelve months, remaining free of disease progression. CONCLUSION: While this diet does not replace conventional antineoplastic treatments, these preliminary results suggest a potential for clinical application which merits further research. Conclusions It can be concluded that long-term, high fat diets may be favorable for aerobic endurance athletes, during the preparatory season, when a high volume and low to moderate intensity of training loads predominate in the training process. High volume training on a ketogenic diet increases fat metabolism during exercise, reduces body mass and fat content and decreases post exercise muscle damage. Low carbohydrate ketogenic diets decrease the ability to perform high intensity work, due to decreased glycogen muscle stores and the lower activity of glycolytic enzymes, which is evidenced by a lower LA concentration and a maximal work load during the last 15 min of the high intensity stage of the exercise protocol [42]. Ouch, shattered again...
So the video going around of Jason Momoa publicly groping 2 underage girls. Disappointing but not surprising anymore. The only way to hurt them as an industry is stop supporting them with your money.
