I think the only thing that would be better would be having the v bit on the front white instead of black

    official launch date is 7/16/09.

are we're getting a new away kit or are we keeping the white? couldn't remember if it was an 08/09 kit.

If I'm not wrong, traditionally our shirts were always red with white collar/trims. Why did we start to have black on our shirts in the 90s? The new kit would look much classier with a white V and collar.

I expect that we will be launching two new shirts, one red, one black, and keep the white as our third shirt.

I still love the away and third shirt.

I always say I will use reason when deciding whether to purchase the new shirts and like Brady24, I always need to look for extra $$$ to get them all...

I love being a kit muppet. It helps pass the time until I can become a summer transfer muppet again :D

I'm not so priviliged. Last kit I have is the Ronaldo home that we wear currently. I hope our new one doesn't have that black V. That looks like piss to say the least.

yea but a white V for whatever reason looks half decent like Valenciennes own this year

maybe i will get some older shirts instead of this years. not really a fan of the V.

This will be a good ear to take advantage of the sale prices for the old kits from this year. Get 2 for the price of the new kit.

Re: 09/10 Manchester United new kit discussion

There was the shirt with black panelling under the arms 02-04.

Black was actually introduced as a trim colour back in 82, when United first took to wearing a sponsor on the shirt (Sharp).

There has been a mock-up with the V in white, and to be honest, whilst white is the more traditional colour, the black v looks way more better!

On a side note, Urawa Reds here in Japan usually use the same template from Nike as United, though they have changed to use slightly more black in the trim than United. The owner is an avowed United fan, and chose to use the same colours. Red shirts, white shorts, black socks.

These are the past couple of kits. Look familiar dont they...

And this is the one they are using this year. They change at roughly the same time United do. Though given the season runs in the same format to the MLS (through the calendar year rather than through the winter) here in Japan, they have introduced this before United would introduce theirs. I am reading into this, of course, but then there is a chance that the 2+2 I am adding will make 4, rather than an interesting lemon pie...

Its better than the weird "proposal" one that has floated round the interweb, with a white v and white collar. That one is just odd.

    Thats the one!

I am really not keen on that at all! I just dont like that collar! If the rest of the shirt was completely red, and just the "V" in white, I might be more amenable...
