Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 black kits are great but they are hard to pick since a lot of teams have darker kits. we hardly wore them in the 07/08 year, which sucked since that was a sweet kit. still think we should have a white third jersey in the same look as the black and red... much like that one knockoff that was floating around. ahh summertime... kit conversations and the silly season. doesn't get much better
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 I agree, 3 contrasting colors is a little much. But an all black and red kit..ohhh my, how I would love to see that.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 thread title should be changed to "Manchester United Kit rumors 2009/2010" ---
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 Gadzooks... if this is true, it means we'll technically have four kits next year. And that's without considering that alleged black kit posted earlier in the thread as a possible third kit.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 well the pics posted of the new kits cant be real. 2 different sponsors in the same year? besides the black looks like the blue one from 05-06 with the red trim photoshopped onto the black kit from last year either way not too keen on the chevrons on any design
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 oh my. but i would love if that's all they had of the sponsor on our new shirts - whatever they may be. hopefully it won't be a double-sponsor on the shirts.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 probably just a typo. i wouldn't worry too much about it.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 I am guessing that the shirt at the top is set up as a sampler? As far as I am aware, we are not allowed to carry more than 1 sponsor on the shirt (ignoring the kit supplier) and I cannot see Saudi Telecom settling for just that space! Though, if they do, I may just start liking them jsut a little bit! I am not averse to the chevron, though a white chevron on the home shirt? Really not keen on that idea myself. Though, resurrecting the red chevron on white would make a nice alternate kit. Like the lace collar. Allways have. Though looks like Adidas is introducing the option of a zip on theirs, if you look at the New York Red Bulls new kit.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 I'm trying to figure out what a state monopoly like Saudi Telecom has to gain from wasting their money on sponsoring us at all, much less taking our shirt sponsorship. Unless they're planning on expanding outside of Saudi Arabia, who the hell are they exactly promoting themselves to? The .01% of mobile phone users in Saudi Arabia who don't already use their service? It's mindless.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 So was thinking that Man City could become a big club, but that didn't stop em.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 Dont take it for certain that they are. We are still waiting for United to announce it. There are allways thousands of rumours and stories about the club, and the "leaked" pictures are 99.9% of the time, wrong. First problem with that kit is that if it IS The kit, then the sponsor has really not taken out the best option. After all, they can plaster the name all over the front, and they go for a little patch!? Unlikely...
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 Here's the badge they've been presented by FIFA for the Club World Cup that will be on the new jerseys, right? http://kitkross.wordpress.com/2009/03/12/manchester-united-presented-fifa-badge/
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 as it says, they will only wear them for UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, and Carling Cup games. the Premier League declined their request to wear the badge on their PL jerseys.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 Yeah, apparently FIFA don't like that. Who cares, to be honest. If FIFA/UEFA wanted a badge for every trophy we win, our kits would be looking like freakin Boy Scout uniforms.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 The Premier Leagues justification was that the FIFA World Champions Cup was a separate competition. Their argument was that the clubs dont wear PL badges in the Champions League, or in the FA Cup. Except that they do. It is only in the Final (Semi finals this year) Where the league badges are replaced with FA Cup patches. Besides, having United as world champs is enormous kudos for the league, and everyone knows they play in the EPL, so why not let United? After all, Milan did in the domestic league when they wore the champs patch. Though I am not sure I like it where it is. It makes the shirt look a little strange. Like it has 2 badges on it. Personally, would have preferred them put the badge on the other side, to balance out with the club crest. Nike's swoosh could have easily been moved to the centre, being the smallest of the three.
Re: New Manchester United Away kit 2009/2010 I would give up on my boycott just for that kit! It would like mint
09/10 Manchester United new kit discussion as the search for a new sponsor continues and the season winds down, many different ideas are being leaked for our new home and away kits. figured it was best to get one thread that will deal with it all. and in a bit of new news: Manchester United Will Unveil Home Kit on Asian Tour
Re: 09/10 Manchester United new kit discussion 25+ Pages 10,000+ views and jammybastard will post at least 70times…I can’t wait
Re: 09/10 Manchester United new kit discussion agreed, and I know I definitely will post SO many times! Getting a new shirt and stuff is exciting eh.
Re: 09/10 Manchester United new kit discussion It'll be nice to get a new shirt sponsor.....I'm tired of getting dirty looks. Of the shirst being leaked there are some fairly hideous ones.
Re: 09/10 Manchester United new kit discussion 1. AIG will still be on our shirts next season. 2. Somebody is claiming that this is the new home kit:
