no need for more guys with little to no experience at the professional level. hiring both kim namil and cha duri already seem like an overkill. they would serve to do the same thing which is squad management. neither were tactical nor technical standouts as players and because of their inexperience they offer zero qualities as trainers what they lack right now is a coach with european exposure which was the same that was missing during the senileike era. have cha duri find some young bright mind who wants to come over for a year or so as an experience. there are piles and piles of bundesliga assistants in the late 20s-mid 30s age group who already have 10+ years coaching experience. if the likes of jeonnam and gwangju can find hire coaches from portugal/italy/spain/etc surely kfa should have no trouble. some guy who can serve as a consulting coach to remind korean coaches how things are done in first world footballing nation. if kfa cant hire a european manager this would be the next best thing
If you look at the history of this team, there were many times when they failed to get results even with different European coaches. Remember how everyone here hated Bonfrere? Remember how Pim left the team because of a lack of motivation from the players? Not saying European experience won't be helpful but it could also be that the players as a whole aren't proficient, aggressive, and motivated. There isn't a lot of time left for the remaining qualifying games. But even better or more deserving teams can somehow lose a game so it is impossible to predict the next two games. But as it stands, it seems like a fair result for the team to lose or tie each of the two games.
honestly I'd be down to take the KNT job... but I want minimum $650 K/year. And also $3 mil/year to assemble my support staff.

You want a better offer than Bert Van Marwijk? Haha. https://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer...ts-out-of-his-own-pocket-20180607-p4zjxv.html
Juande Ramos? Is this guy able to do anything outside of Spain? When he was at Spurs, he lost the dressing room by having the guys go on a vegetarian diet.
If KFA were to hire non-local manager for KNT, it should be willing to spend USD 3million + @. We ain't gonna hire competent manager with anything less than that.
A good coach will only treat the symptoms and not the problem. I think these AFC league players are simply not good enough.
I'm starting to think the same too. We need to start sending players outside of the K-league. That league is shit.
Its the culture. Korean academies don't focus on basics, basics, basics. You can't teach 5 year olds FIFA XI tactics, you have to teach them BASICS. Everyone wants to be the hero and score, no sense of playing as a team as a unit. Unless that changes we're going to continue to regress as other countries slingshot past us (already happening).
I mean, I think the difference between say, a mid-tier Ligue 1 side to a top AFC club is bigger than people assume it (or want it) to be. You've got Japan who is now too good for the J.League. How many J.League (AFC) players do they have versus KNT? What we're seeing from both Korea and Japan is that the NT will soon outgrow it's domestic league. Or to put it the other way, these domestic leagues can't produce good enough players. Our short-term solution is it that we've got to keep sending our youngters to Europe. Sooner the better. And more the merrier.
Call it culture or whatever you want, but it's not happening. I know plenty of people (including my friends) who are hopeful that the K-League youth system will prevail but...how many coaches are qualified to do this? Actually, lets just start from the top. Our chief in charge of youth development is Park Ji-sung who has no experience in developing youth and is grossly underqualified for this job. I rest my case.
