Problem with Shin Taeyoung is his lack of tactical and strategic awareness. It's not enough for international stage. He makes wrong calls. Hoping he's learned from his mistakes and can perform. Iran is relishing a chance to stop Korea eat crow especially since they've sat out of WC not too long ago. Can't believe we're in this jam. Stielicke didn't give a crap from the beginning but KFA is the real culprit here.

Shin is no tactician. He can monkey around with his "formations" all day long but the fact of the matter is, his strategy has never changed, has it. He's inflexible and got nothing up his sleeves.

This is why I wanted Huh - who is very similar but at least can drill down on some set pieces. And Huh probably would've never played Jang Hyun-soo as right back or bench your best player of the tournament (Lee Sueng-woo).

what's with the inclusion of 2002 WC players? Does KNI even have coaching experience?

While I do agree that selecting from the 2002 era is a bit out of hand, the new team does need a 깡패 like Kim Nam-il to slap them straight imo. Might as well throw in Eul-yong Ta into the coaching staff as well.

We've really missed that kind of toughness that KNI and LEY brought to the national team. I can't remember the last proper enforcer-type we've had since they retired.

He seems a promising manager. I'd like to see him coaching a K League team in a few years.

Cant judge KNI but at least players will behave better ;)

I wouldn't call him an enforcer but Koo Ja Cheol has an angry attitude about him. If Koo had developed as a defensive mid-fielder (there was a debate many years ago whether Koo is better suited as a DM or CM/CAM), he would be similar in terms of personality to KNI.

Hoping Kim Nam Il implements some toughness to this squad because we're growing and developing bunch of passive mothereffers.

Right now best case scenario is barely qualify to WC and get shredded like we did in Brazil or worse.

I rather we be in the World Cup than not be in it. And this is also because I do not plan on watching WC 2022 as I have no respect for what Qatar did.

I disagree with your lame attempt to find a current enforcer and you think I'm angry.

    Cry more.

If you read correctly, I never said Koo is an enforcer and he isn't. I'm saying years ago, if he had decided to be a defensive mid-fielder, then maybe he can be like KNI.

It's cute though. Why don't you go show off your karate moves like this guy?

If u were smart though you wouldn't even bring up his ankle biting antics. But you're not so.....not even sure why you did. So completely off and odd. Btw he could never be like KNI u blowhard Not in his wildest dreams Or yours apparently. Lol

Haha well, this team's struggles with defense has a lot to do with missing a proper DM who can not only win balls but also locate and fill pockets of empty space and protect the back 4 properly. We just haven't had intelligent, physical, and active defensive players in way too long.

In fact, do we even have any candidates who can do this for us? I can't really think of one.

I was talking about more of his mental attributes being similar to KNI you doofus, not his physical game.

Now that Kim Nam-il's a part of Shin Tae-yong's coaching staff, everyone's a dead meat :ROFLMAO:.
