Wow! I was mostly kidding but that would be cool if they actually put on in! These renderings are really looking good. You would think southern Italy would come up with one or two. Reggio , Palermo or Cosenza? It would do wonders for their economy.
Reggina don’t have a project as far as I know but the potential is there to build a decent stadium IMO Palermo just got sold so no idea what happens next. Cosenza do have a stadium project prepared. Looks very nice from renders but no idea when the plan is to break ground
Wow that is really cool for Cosenza. My family is from there. Traditionally, they have a better economy than Reggio even though they are a mountain town as opposed to a port. The mafia is rampant in Reggio and Palermo and I'm sure that doesn't help things. It exists in Cosenza too but not like down there.
I think they latest renovations will be a nice step forward but still not what Napoli need to grow as a club. The latest news is that the city of Naples might sell the San Paolo to a third party investment group for 80 million euro.
Speaking of third party groups, an Australian company is trying to convince the city of Brescia to let them have the Rigamonti and build a new stadium. The city is said to be strongly considering this option. This is also the case for the new Verona project
Pallotta: New stadium in 2022 By Football Italia staff Roma President James Pallotta has expressed hope that his club’s new stadium can ‘open in mid-2022’. The Stadio dello Roma project has long been in the pipeline, but red tape and a corruption scandal have prevented it from moving forward. Nonetheless, RomaPress quoted Pallotta as saying at the Sports Decision Makers Summit in Miami: “It’s a great space, and it will be the most-used stadium in all of Southern Europe. “The hope is to have approvals wrapped up by June and then to open the stadium in mid-2022, creating a new place not only for the team to play in but for partner AEG to hold music festivals and more.” The American then discussed the Giallorossi’s work in media, which has won praise for its innovation. “We produce seven hours of original video content, which is the most of any club,” he continued. “We also have our own TV station that has six million subscribers, so the TV side has been great. “We also bought a terrestrial radio license as there are nine radio stations in Rome that only talked about Italian football and they would make stuff up all day long. “So I got tired of it, bought the radio station, and now three of those nine are bankrupt, and we have six to go.” “If you go to a lot of team websites, the first thing you see is 50 percent off of merchandise. Things like that cheapen your brand, so we don’t do that. “We also crowdsource a lot of things from talented fans who do things like send in their own designs of logos or merchandise. “Soon we plan to curate those designs and ask if [fans] want to buy a hoodie or T-shirt with their design on it. “It takes no money to do on a capital basis, and then we can ship it to them and do runs from one item to millions.”
The "pixelation" seating is the current style worldwide not just in Italy. If done right, you can get a good result like in Triestina. In the case of Napoli, the yellow seat in unnecessary. Dacia arena is a nightmare however
