The last home game I'll see before the stadium send-off. I would like to see Stieber and Mullins start. Keep the same backline as Wednesday. If Arriola, Canouse and Acosta are fit, start them. Replace "Red Waiting to Happen" with Harkes and let her roll. Next "live" soccer match after this will be, hopefully, on September 3rd in Stadio Porta Elisa, watching a Lega Pro match between Lucca and Pontedera.

3 game winning goals in a row for Own Goal, or is it payback time?

I don't think even Own Goal can keep up this scoring pace.

    ----------Mullins
    Steiber- Acosta - Arriola
    ----Marcelo - Canouse
    DeLeon - Robinson - Opare - OA

Korb for Steiber (switch with DeLeon)
    Jeffrey for Marcelo
    Harkes for Acosta

You can see here, my strategy is to go for the early Revs own goal, then establish a defensive shell for the last 70 minutes.:whistling:

Who says Ashton doesn't know tactics? He's gotten Own Goal into the offense 2 weeks in a row.

Ashton told Own Goal to kick the ball in United's net. That's why he has Jeffery out there.

If this happens the new tagline here needs to be "Own Goal for MVP"

I'm convinced. The FO is ingenious in that they found a way to get offensive performance without the possibility of having to pay performance based bonuses.

OG is a great run of form and has shown great versatility. A 40 yard wonder strike in Colorado and a close in poacher's goal on Wednesday. OG does lack pace, but certainly has that nose for the goal.

Stieber can't possibly be game fit yet. I see him as a second half sub at best.

That's my impression, too. But if we're going to push for the own goal, we need to do it early in the game. We're not going to bring him in during the bunker phase. He can do a half, right? Right? :D

Yes, muscle injury? Someone said hamstring, but I thought they said thigh on the last broadcast. I didn't enter it into my smartphone, so I can't remember. :)

Just like previously with Hamid earlier, lets not hang too much of our hope on Own Goal.

Own Goal lives in the hearts of those who have no hope, Own Goal comes to the aid of the weak and those who cannot help themselves, in other words Own Goal is the embodiment of everything that is DC United 2017. Don't doubt Own Goal

The important thing here is that we are currently ahead of Galaxy in overall standings. Which to me is hilarious.

Also we have a chance to get within one point of the Revs. Finishing ahead of them would also be hilarious.

And finally we still have two games against Red Bull, with a realistic chance to knock them out of the playoffs if we sweep. That alone would make this season worth it. I'll gladly take a season with no playoffs if we can humiliate Galaxy, Revs and Red Bull.
