So tomorrow is the USOC game against Seattle. Sounds like they are bringing quite a contingent to LSP. One thing that Seattle fans love to do is their "SEATTLE ... SOUNDERS ..." chant that completely takes over the stadium volume. Well, it would be pretty disappointing to have a Seattle chant be the loudest chant in the building. If Seattle starts said chant and said chant starts gaining volume, I think it would be awesome to battle it out with "SPORTING ... KANSAS CITY ..." where "Sporting" and "Kansas City" are yelled in the intermittent pauses between "Seattle" and "Sounders". So the entire effect would be something to the effect of: Seattle Sounders Fans: "SEATTLE" Sporting Kansas City Fans: "SPORTING" Seattle Sounders FANS: "SOUNDERS" Sporting Kansas City Fans: "KANSAS CITY" (For those of you with music backgrounds, Seattle is said on a pick up note and beats 1 and 2, then Sporting would be said on beats 3 and 4, Sounders would be said on beats 5 and 6, and Kansas City would be said on beats 7, upbeat of 7, 8, and upbeat of 8. Then the whole thing is repeated ad nausuem.) Think this would be an awesome rebuttal type chant, but a significant portion of the stadium would have to get behind it. Also think this would have been a great marketing opportunity, but we are way past that time at this point, I think. [Picture the big screen in LSP showing the Seattle crowd screaming "SEATTLE ... SOUNDERS ..." then a clip comes up of them lifting their first USOC trophy. Then "SEATTLE ... SOUNDERS ..." and a clip comes up of them lifting their second USOC trophy. Then "SEATTLE ... SOUNDERS ... " and a clip comes up of them lifting their third trophy. Then "SEATTLE (SPORTING) SOUNDERS (KANSAS CITY)" refrain starts with The SKC part starting soft and growing louder and louder, taking over the SS part. The SS eventually starts quieting down and the SKC part takes over with clips of SKC playing, scoring goals, winning. Then a big dramatic BOOM goes through the stadium and the trophy comes up with 8.8.12 underneath... slowly, the caption "Let's Take It From Them" comes into view. Cheers and applause galore.]
