That Dynamo v. Pachuca game took its toll on me. My heart was broken multiple times....I felt like I was betraying Houston.
Correct. Good picture there. That was our Dundee United look versus RSL and the famous return leg to Pachuca. That kit design is the inspiration for our club's telon fyi fellow Dynamo fans. (telon=megabandera)
I think you're right. We used to use lots of weird combinations, back when we were still "finding our way."
Maybe the league or Adidas asked them to wear them vs. the Galaxy. It's an NBC Sports game and a 1:30 in the afternoon they may glow in the sun or something. I can get worked up about anything - whether legitimately or just for arguing on these boards - but I can't get too worked up about changing the debut date. And while the jersey seems to change shades or hues depending upon the picture or video posted, I'm coming around to keeping it "orange" and going with that as our distinctive brand. I think Canetti got that one right.
OK, Inspector Detector. I think you just blew the doors off of this case! This scandal is going to bring down the entire front office for sure. We can call it 'Orangegate' Jokes. If Canetti follows these forums at all, he's patting himself on the back as hater after hater has come out in this thread and admitted they actually really like the new 3rd jersey.
Westside, I'm just going on what has been passed down from our players and our FO. To clear it all up it would be better to just hear what the players say now that they have modeled the new gear. ...they have to wear them.
The irony here is that if current away goals rule was in place back in CCC, the game would have never gone to extra time. Also, since we're chatting about mix n match uniform colors, I know there were at least a few games where the Dynamo played in orange tops and orange shorts as well. I can dig up a photo if nobody else has one handy.
We did the all-orange as recently as last year. I looked this up at one point for 2011 regular season and playoffs: Shirt-Shorts-Socks Orange-White-Orange = 32 games White-White-White= 2 games Orange-Orange-Orange = 2 games White-Orange-White = 2 games
In the words of Blu, "You're just a big ball of hate!" lol I know. Don't think for a second I have never thought of thought. My position on teams has changed. I grew up supporting Pachuca, and I still support them, but I can't go to all their home games and travel for them. I can, however, do that for the Dynamo and while in years past, Pachuca was my number one team, Dynamo have taken hold of that spot in my heart. As long as they don't leave this city, they'll forever hold that spot. I'm still a Pachuca fan and their still in a close second, though. lol
I don't know what happened, I posted this before all the pictures got posted, but it showed up later. Dont want anybody to think I'm dumber than you already do.
East Bernard is so far they require laser-based internet so that the connection can travel at the speed of light to Houston, but it still takes takes 30 minutes to post a BigSoccer comment.
So, yall have all been to East Bernard I see. One of my students was telling me that he was working on his research paper, he started downloading something, went to eat supper, came back later and it was still downloading. Very typical.
photographic memory-I was watching the match online from a dindgy hotel in Texarkana, TX. I remember thinking to myself-damn we look like Tottenham Hotspur.
That does look like Tottenham! That's a great catch. It also looks like Bolton's kit, maybe the soccer gods were giving us a glimpse of the future? East Bernard is so far out they're barely getting ready to watch the 94 World Cup.
