You keep coming back to WTO tariff rates, like they are a panacea for everything. It is a complicated and arduous process. I have not seen or read too many serious papers or articles praising that option as beneficial to the UK. The economist article resumes it well: http://www.economist.com/blogs/economist-explains/2017/01/economist-explains-4
No, again, another overstatement. I haven't said it's a panacea. I've said it's a backstop which puts a limit on how much it's worth us paying to maintain the existing trade links. I've already linked to several YT's from various experts, (including the ones from the lengthy discussions held at Birmingham university IIRC), which covered the WTO issue in some depths. As I say, I am NOT suggesting we should be adopting that as an aim. I'm simply stating an obvious truism that there's a limit to how much it's worth us paying to maintain the current existing arrangements. In any event, as I suspect that point has already been bypassed, (despite what the tories are saying), it's probably a moot point.
Fatherland citizenship is the new shit for Brits 2865 British citizens adopted German citizenship in 2016. 2200 persons or 361% more than 2015. Even more expected for 2017 http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/...ekord-an-einbuergerungen-von-briten-1.3544094 also here: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jun/13/germany-reports-rise-in-britons-taking-citizenship
The thing that amazed me was that anybody from the UK adopted German citizenship before, when there was no issue regarding EU citizenship. I mean... WHY?!
They realized after the Euro 2016 loss to Iceland that England would never win anything in football and so they opted for a winning team.
Besides we know that they are extremists and will endanger German cuisine with their mint sauce and warm beer!
Well, let's just say that Germans don't drink their beer at near-freezing temperatures either. Besides, any beer that you have drink that cold to be palatable isn't worth drinking anyway.
The only people that drink their beer very cold in Europe are kids. The cold takes away the taste but, for some stuff, that's an advantage
And why not? Kaiser Bill was a UK citizen through Queen Victoria's eldest daughter and an admiral in the British navy, while George V was a German Field Marshall and commanded German regiments. And don't forget that British kings were also Prince Electors and Kings of Hannover until Salic Law precluded Victoria from assuming the throne.
All those European royals are inbreds. Just look at Prince Charles. He doesn't share 96% of his DNA with a chimpanzee. He's an actual chimpanzee!
The anthem of the German Empire under Kaiser Bill was this, until he abdicated. And it was the Anthem of Prussia from 1795. Maybe Germany will switch back so the expat Brits can hum along.
