Nice come back away win 1-2 against Heerenveen. I missed it due to confusion over the starting time. Nicolai Jorgensen with a tap-in from an errant clearance and Berghuis put a through ball in to Vilhena who headed it down to his feet and ghosted through the defense to place a hot grounder in at the far post. Ajax drew away 1-1 to Excelsior so Feyenoord are now 6 points clear of Ajax and 8 clear of PSV. I am pretty sure that we have 3rd place locked up already this season.

Gio has been experimenting with Nieuwkoop as a sub for Vilhena. The midfield was his original place, so he's not unfamiliar with the tasks in there. Really hope Kongolo is fit for the match against 020.
There are rumours that van Persie wants to join Feyenoord next season. Wonder how that can be possible, given his huge salary in Turkey. That would be a pretty serious pay melt down.

The KNVB has broadened the charge against Vilhena with a striking/hitting the opponent. KNVB is Feyenoord-jurist voor: "Dan zou Vilhena vrijgesproken worden" woensdag 29 maart 2017 om 11:59 Dat de KNVB de aanklacht tegen Feyenoorder Tonny Vilhena heeft verruimd, is niet vreemd. Dat zegt strafrechtadvocaat Christian Visser tegen ELF Voetbal. In eerste instantie werd Vilhena verdacht van het geven van een elleboogstoot aan Mathias Pogba. Nu kan hij ook gestraft worden voor het slaan van een tegenstander. "Het is niet vreemd dat een aanklacht aangepast wordt", zegt Visser. "Ook in het strafrecht komt dat wel eens voor. Het is alleen mogelijk als het om hetzelfde feit gaat. Als de tijd en plaats dus gelijk zijn. Als Vilhena later in de wedstrijd bij de cornervlag iemand schopte, kan dat later niet in de aanklacht worden opgenomen." "Meestal wordt een straf verruimd als de aanklager twijfels heeft. De beroepscommissie kijkt naar wat er wordt verweten. Blijkbaar vinden ze dat de elleboogstoot moeilijk bewezen kan worden. Dan zou Vilhena vrijgesproken worden. Nu is daar dus slaan bijgekomen. Als dat wel te bewijzen valt, kan hij gewoon gestraft worden", besluit de advocaat. Woensdagavond wordt de zaak in Zeist behandeld, donderdagochtend wordt de uitspraak verwacht. De kans dat Vilhena de Klassieker van zondag moet missen is levensgroot. So they added hitting/striking. If that can be proved, Vilhena still can be punished. According to the Telegraaf there is a battle of egos with Vilhena as the pawn between the KNVB Tuchtcommissie and van Benthem. 'Prestigestrijd tussen tuchtcommissie en Van Benthem: opeens drie topjuristen' When I watched the replays ( I missed the incident) I noticed Vilhena doesnot even look where Pogba is when he goes up to head the ball and the contact takes place. He's all concentrated on the ball and hasnot even looked at Pogba before that elbowing. It seems to me that to be convicted of doing that on purpose, you have to know where your victim is. The hitting/striking addition is curious, because he doesnot make a hitting/striking move with his arm at all, unless they want to convict him for making contact anyway with Pogba. But it seems they want to trip van Benthem and use Vilhena as the tool. If they concluded their charging of Vilhena for elbowing is so weak that they stand to loose it, he shouldnot be charged at all and if the hitting/slapping/striking charge is the one that will stick it should have been the charge in the first place. But in all in all the way the Tuchtcommissie operated doesnot make them look very convincing.

Well, Vilhena is suspended for the 020 match and the Go Ahead Eagles match plus one match on probition. So,if the Referee, after repeatedly watching the incident concludes it's a yellow ans the VAR during the match told the ref he missed a yellow, how can it be that with the same material at hand the Tuchtcommissie concludes it is such a foul it has to be punished even harder than disgusting tackles they had to judge on. This stinks and if De Telegraaf's notion is correct the egos of the Tuchtcommissie didnot want another defeat against the Feyenoord lawyer, it is a sign of incompetence and lack of integrity. But what to expect else of the KNVB. It would have been justified yet to give Vilhena a yellow card by the Tuchtcommissie, which would have ment he would be suspended anyhow for the 020 match. But this farce is telling. Now he faces another match ban with the next yellow card.
And the elbow that Klaassen threw into the face of the Excelsior player, what about that? Is he going to serve a suspension?

Man what a mess. No Vilhena means that the press is a complete failure and defensive workrate/compactness in midfield is gone, Jorgenson gone meant we were playing with 10 man as Kramer is basicly useless except if he can just stay in the box, Karsdorp looked like he was playing the first half injured before he actually went off injured.. Leaving us with no playmaking ability from the fullbacks since we have Nelom on the left... Vd Heijden could have cost us a couple more goals with his stupidity. Is Elia still injured? You'd think with so many important pieces gone we'd adapt tactics to the players we have and stay compact, defensive minded and play on the counter with speed. This was plain terrible, scoreline flatters us.

Well, with in one minute 1-0 down and in 10 minutes the normal team line up lost its 4th man (Elia, Kongolo, Vilhena, Jorgensen) it was bound to be difficult. That 1-0 was the boost Ajax needed and we could do without as the line up already had 3 men out and 1 semi limping, which got worse when Jorgensen had to be replaced, with 4 men out and one limping. After the break we were 5 men down from the normal line up. So let's see which ones we can see back coming wednesday.

I heared/read the Ajax crowd about they should have scored 5. Maybe so, but in Rotterdam we should have scored 5 or more, so that cancels it out, but in the end they did in two matches cost us two points more than needed.
