I see Berghuis had a hat trick in the Friendly today. Unfortunately, one of them was an OG so the game ended 2-2.

  2. Feyenoord is said to be trying to bring this man from AZ Alkmaar to Rotterdam.

Another 3-1 loss for Feyenoord today against Southampton. v.Beek made a very naive mistke that gave an easy early goal for Southampton.

On the other hand, I kinda like Wouter Burger. He has some nice street football skills and a really fine technique which is really not so common for a guy with such height. I would say he is a good talent to follow this season and he is only 18 yo.

So how do you see the starting line up for Sunday's opening match against Sparta Rotterdam?

    Vermeer
St. Juste, Botteghin, Van Beek, Haps
    Fer, Toornstra
    Berghuis
    Sinisterra, Vente, Larsson

I don't know where to put Kokcu in except to leave Toornstra out.

  7. Sunday, August the 4th we kick off with a Rotterdam Derby, 14:30 cest

If this line up is correct, we have an all Feyenoord reared midfield.

Feyenoord better kick off with a positive bang as we, with SC Heerenveen and Vitesse saw at the start of the season a drop in sold season tickets.
    Down from 32000 to 31000.

  8. Stam has decided on Kenneth Vermeer as the first goal keeper.
As Vincent Bijlow is injured, the choice is obvious, but Stam also decided he's not going to consider swapping when Vincent is cured again. Good news for Koeman, who gets a match fit goal keeper in his possible last man choice.

No hopes for them this season. Vitesse and Utrecht could be suprise package this season.

  10. Don't exaggerate things. It was just a matter of not converting the chances (3 times the goal frame and a couple of shots just passed by or blocked). The main concern is the defense, that has lapses of concentration.
Was hoping we would have taken the lead after the draws of both PSV and Ajax.
Positive point was the lively contribution of Sinisterra, which means we have options on the front line to choose from.

And Narsingh looked good also in the wide left spot.

Wow, Wout Burger kept Tapia and Ayoub both on the bench. He looked good most of the time. It is nice to see a tall, rangy defensive midfielder after having a couple of short ones for several years. I note that Jordy Clasie only made the bench in AZ's 3-0 win over Fortuna Sittard. No minutes.

  12. Oh, for Christ sake.
It seems the current bunch calling the cards in "De Kuip" are talking about selling the 49% of the shares in possession of the "Vrienden van Feyenoord" as a collateral for their 30 million help for 90 million, so after the amortisation of the debt with the "VvF" 60 million remain for investment.
I wonder if that bloke now on top of the management board wasnot born yet when we almost went broke after spending too much money on players counting on being successful with them and so pay for the debt.
These imbecils think our only problem is a lack of money.
It's not and if this whole mess is becoming reality, we willnot have any problems with Feyenoord anymore, because we're going bust.

  13. The quality of Dutch football journalism has taken a serious dive the last few years.
This is being talked about in a football podcast:rolleyes:

Eredivisiepodcast | ‘Eigenlijk zouden ze Feyenoord tijdelijk moeten opheffen’

Wekelijks blikken de voetbalverslaggevers van AD Sportwereld in een podcast terug op het afgelopen eredivisieweekend. Deze week worden vier stellingen besproken door Hugo Borst en Sjoerd Mossou.

Actually, they should temporarily neutralise Feyenoord

Admitted one of the idiots is a supporter of Sparta Rotterdam and the one I deteste severely for his banging on about getting FC Twente's Douglas into the Orange squad, but this is just an example of shit we nowadays get served about football. If Feyenoord is thought to be in that state, how about 13 other clubs in the Eredivisie that always end up behind us.

  14. Seems St Juste is sold to Mainz for 9 million.
    Coming in seems to be:

Komst Johnston nadert bij Feyenoord, Ié duurt nog even

Verdedigers hurenFeyenoord versterkt zich mogelijk nog vandaag met George Johnston. De Rotterdamse club is in verregaande onderhandeling met de Schot, die nu uitkomt voor het reserveteam van Liverpool. Het gaat om huur. Ook Edgar Miguel Ié is in aantocht. Zijn komst lijkt evenwel nog zeker een week te duren.

He moves as he's not seeing minutes for the Reds in the coming season.
Nice, so we take in someone who's behind Sepp van den Berg, we could have bought from PEC.

  15. Also, if the medical goes well, Karsdorp returns on loan to Feyenoord.

Also Ricky Van Wolfswinkel is rumored to be coming to De Kuip along with some Trabzonspor center back (Edgar Miguel Lé) on loan.

  17. Stam has a shaken up and a shaky defense and Jörgensen and Toornstra are out, while the opponent has been on fire the last week.

Hope the "Kuip" will play it's magic role. We really need that EL money.

  18. Dunno how Dynamo kept the score at 1-0 in the first half. We should have been up with at least three goals. Wonder what our possession rate was. It was as if the ball was continuously ours.
