Beautiful beautiful pass from Blind! Van Persie with a world class finish! Holland should be up 1-0 right now. Spain is tough to beat, but it becomes damn near impossible to beat them when they have the refs on their side. Defense has been sloppy, but I expected this. CB's need to be careful when making tackles in the box. The Spaniards are notorious divers. If you give them the opportunity to dive, they'll take it. Spain as usual boring everyone to sleep with their short boring passing. As expected finishing is a problem for Spain. A few bad calls have stopped potential scoring runs by Holland. That last foul before halftime prevented a 2 on 1 situation for Holland. Robben had a lot of open space in front of him. Oh and Sneijder needs to finish better. That 1 on 1 with Iker gave me bad flashbacks of Robben's 1 on 1 4 years ago.
Don't what rabbits Van Gaal can pull out of the hat right now. Maybe Clasie needs to come on for de Guzman. We are locked into this defensive scheme and just have to hope that Vlaar and de Vrij are more attentive in the 2nd half.
