Simple goal. Don't like the keeper there as well. Very bad sign that they push a bit and immediately a goal.

    I liked Bazoer

Afellay is a better DM than Clasie, even if it's not his natural position. He just can speed up the game much better. Gave some nice cross balls to Depay but he couldn't even control them.

Depay brought some speed but his ball control and dribbles are still shit. Nice free kick for Luuk though.

Janssen looked better than Luuk on the few balls he had to play

Be careful cause two other official games are coming next year lol

Seriously the difference of level looked big for me...Even more than the friendly in 2014. Just Matuidi-Pogba, they make any dutch midfielder look like a clown. Matuidi can defend and score goals without even forcing.

Payet-Griezmann just too easy with the ball.

I like Promes dribbles and I just said he could play for a big club (more like a sub though) but to be honest I would pick even Payet above him. Look more composed on the ball. Promes can dribble but he looks clueless after. Sends a lot of random balls in the box without even raising his head. Did it several times tonight. Syndrom of Schaken.

Serious lack of quality in dutch football

  13. The firts half was so....that I decided to spend my time better. What on earth was that Klaassen dude doing on the pitch? Did they prepare that defensive set up?
So was the 2nd half better?

Klaassen is the Antichrist of dutch football and it's absolutly normal he gets a starting spot after Cruyff's death.

It is said the Antichrist will look like a messiah and fool people, and I was almost fooled myself when I saw Klaassen for the first time, looked like Bergkamp from far.

France remind me of Oranje 2008.. A lot of raw talent, but still needs some work. They will have a monster team in 2018 with a more experienced squad and the addition of some of the great talents from the youth teams. But 2016 is too soon for this French team. It's going to be about Germany and Spain, again.

Well we still came back and I did not see that coming. We are where we are and we can improve with another coach. Blind is the weakest link.

I lost count how many games we now have lost under him or him as assistent under Hiddink. We are going through tough time. Against this team with more quality and with this coach I ma not shocked.

My personal problem is with striker position. I hate the lethargic Luuk. I want a flashy fast striker.

Yea Klaassen seemed the most out of step of the weird midfield for me to. Second half was better.
Clasie not his best and strangely the best of the 3 CMs we started, beside getting picked off in a really awful spot by Matuidi at one point was just a bit conservative.
But is anyone else wondering why are we hanging on to Sneijder for 2 freindlies in a row now? Maybe it wouldn't have been so if Robben/Vlaar were there to be captain?
Would liked to have seen Karsdorp, but glad Narsingh/Huntelaar didn't play.

I actually thought the gap between France and us was larger than I saw today. Not surprised at all by the result, even though I did have a feeling we might draw.
More surprised that we came back to 2-2 than I am that we did not beat France in a friendly match 2 days after the passing of the biggest icon of Dutch football. Also given the players available and the form they are in..
At least finally a small glimpse of some fight back in this team, and some fresh faces. (looking for positives!?)
Too bad error #2 from Cillessen - might be debatable for some, or harsh to blame him as his were not the only errors, but as I am a CB who also plays backup for keeper, I think that if we want a top class keeper he must stop goals 1 and 3 - even if the play should have been cut off earlier anyway.

Where will the quality come from ?

I agree the team can be decent with a better coach and better players choices. Actually I don't worry about the defence. Bruma can make the move to a big club next summer, and behind there are many promising CB's.
Several interesting options for the full backs as well (but no Veltman).

Now when it comes to the midfield...We can wait 10 years at least to have a Matuidi or a Pogba. Where are the 10's as well ? Nouri ? The risks to have a future Maher look high.

    No striker. No great winger.

Two obvious penalties for france, one hand goal from holland, France walked during all 2nd half, holland was pathetic let's be honest, they'll have to resort to their old tactic of commiting insane amount of fouls to even dream to pass the group stage.

Don't agree about the second part of the message, but the first one is true.

The gap is big seriously...One hand goal helped Holland to take a bit of confidence, but if I had to chose I would still pick any french player above any dutch player tonight, was the same case for PSV-Atletico.
