Need help in rules!!!

I am a coach for 9 and 10 year old mixed league for about 8 games this season. I volunteered to do this because my kids team did not have a coach and the team would not be playing in the league. (16 disappointed children)
So, to make a long story short....I need to know some rules. When is offsides called? When is a cornerkick done and a goal kick? We are playing 8 players on the field what is the best set up for them to play...eg 2 fulls, 2 halfs, 3 front, 1 goalie?
Please help.......

I would recommend a trip to your local library. You can usually find a lot of good books with coaching tips and planners.
