Wow! Anybody watched that match? Crystal Palace beats Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford. First time in 28 years according to the broadcast. Next is the Gooners vs The Reds. Go Arsenal!
@CeltTexan Another nice upset was Newcastle at Tottenham. My godson is currently attending Newcastle University, so I'm paying a bit of attention to that club.
Once upon a time - bet you can't get em for that price today P.S. I'd like to thank everyone who was working in 1992 for funding this. I was on assignment in England and took four guys from Scotland Yard to the game, I included the cost of the tickets and food and beverage on my US Embassy Representational Allowance voucher
Normally an upset like that would warm my heart. However, I am not sure I can stomach any more triumphant self-congratulations by the self-entitled world's-greatest-in-their-own-mind-fandom of the never-walk-alone poseur crowd. So I'm full-on City fan right now.
I'm still mad over Arsenal doing a Dynamo(*) at Watford... can't believe we gave that game away... and that it was on a penalty given by David Luiz. He's done poorly since joining the Gunners. (*) decent 1st half, collapse in the last 15 of the match
Speaking of teams that are finding ways to lose, Sunderland is now in League One. Like going from being in MLS for decades to drop to USL Championship and then down to USL League 1. Ouch!
