This is way off subject from the dynamo, but id figured i ask around here with the locals. I will be leaving next thursday 16 to London, and i want to see the Chelsea West ham game that wknd. It appears tickets are sold out. But PERHAPS someone, here knows someone, who knws someone in london that can get me some tickets, i need 3, i know i will have to pay over the face value, i just dont want to pay a ridiculous ammount. Can someone help me out here? i know my chances are slim around here, but i figure i still ask

Help Please figures, ill have to buy them from a scalper prolly. last time i went, it was a less demand game, it was arsenal porthsmouth and there was tickets outside from scalpers but at a reasonalbe price, something like 50-60 pounds for a cheap seat. perhaps i can pay 100 pounds, but anything more is just too much. i guess i just have to go, right before kick off time and see if i can find something thank you anyways
Re: Any Chelsea/london Contacts???? Help Please I emailed some friends who Chelsea members but they are all planning on going to the game themselves since it's such a huge match. They said the same, your best bet is to go on the day of game and pay an extraordinary amount from the scalpers.

The other game, at the same time that day, is Arsenal Newcastle. and its also sold out. I rather see chelsea, (i got my lamps jersey), and like Tevez from west ham... but if its newcastle, i will settle for that. Can you ask them, on wich game do i ahve a better chance to get tickets?

Re: Any Chelsea/london Contacts???? Help Please God knows why you would want to see Chelsea, but your best bet is to register at cfcnet.co.uk and ask on their forum. Arsenal's new ground is so big I'm sure you could get tickets outside fairly reasonably. Otherwise sites like WorldTicketShop will be able to help you. At a price. Alternatively, if you know your way around London, go to a pub called the Oporto on Shaftesbury Avenue (I think it's at Cambridge Circus) the night before the game and ask in there. It's in the heart of Theatre Land and all the touts who work the football also work the theatres. You should be able to pick up tickets easily (again, at a price) and have a traditional London experience at the same time.

It's also traditionally where a lot of the touts meet up in the evening. I've often got tickets there. Or at least, met up with a runner who's taken me to see the guy with the tickets.

It may have gone a little upmarket since I left the UK though. It was always just The Oporto before. But if it has changed its character, the touts certainly haven't. Just go to one of the theatres and find a tout. There's plenty to be found.
