So Gooners finally hit the first point in the season where they're raked over the barrel?

Or not? There have to be other viable streams, even in 2017.

I would love to see some Gold subscription numbers.

Overall ratings are going well for NBC, which is by far the most important thing for them, but would like to see how many core fans are ponying up for the service.

If they're having problems "inducing" subscriptions, what's their incentive to publicize that?

OTOH if they publicize big subscription revenues, how trustworthy is that info?

Yeah, most media companies keep quiet about these things. We'll probably never know.

    Kevin Rea‏ @DatDudeKR -
Everton 1130 pm kickoff? Nice! Hopefully I’m sleeping already.

    Jonathan Morris‏ @JZMorrisEsq -
If @WatfordFC is playing all on their own in the 11:30PM EST time slot, why is the match on NBC Sports Gold?

LB - Yeah someone at @PLinUSA messed up - should have been 11:30 AM EST instead of 11:30 PM EST for the time of the Everton-Watford match.

Interesting choice of Newcastle-Bournemouth. Guess that's a vote for Newcastle's size and reach. Bournemouth are both bad and boring this season, having only scored 6 and conceded 14. Southampton-Burnley is a top half of the table match.

Burnley is in the top half, but I think Bournemouth and Burnley both provide a negligible amount of fans. Bournemouth kept Joshua King and added Jermain Defoe, but they have 1 goal each. Defoe has ten seasons with at least 10 Premier League goals, which is only one fewer 10 goal season than Wayne Rooney has.

Ian Darke is commentating the first game. None of Jon Champion, Peter Drury, or Jim Beglin are working this weekend.

Wow! I for one will miss him as the lone Yank on NBC's oustanding EPL coverage. But he's earned a deep respect from me, because of his general intelligence and knowledge of the game. So I support him 100% in trying to unseat Gulati. Not that my support matters I guess. But when you compare Martino to someone like Wynalda, it's not even a contest IMO.
