Hey guys, as you probably know NBC has acquired the rights to the EPL and will be carrying lots of matches on NBC, NBC Sports and CNBC. For those that want to watch all the games there will be an extra channel but that isn't available for people like me with FiOS. Good guy NBC has stepped in to provide an app that is supposed to stream all games and have DVR capability too. But I tried downloading it today on my new S4 and it's extremely buggy. Anyone out there have better luck? Am I better off getting it for one of my iOS devices? I was really excited about watching EPL on my phone this year.

There was nothing worse than finding out the match you watched was on Fox Soccer Plus and also on at a time when you couldn't watch the stream. Now about that bundesliga...
terrible app. it seems to work okay in Android 4.04, not at all in 4.1 or 4.2 in my android devices. haven't checked 4.3 but i'll find out soon enough
http://www.nbcsports.com/extratime is a goood tool to see what channel the matches are depending on your sevice provider
So glad HD and no time delay. Can DVR cardiff / swansea while my eyeballs are glued to bundesliga streams on laptop. wish goltv didn't suck.
DirecTV stopped carrying GolTV last year in exchange for BeIn. And GolTV shows s*** number of matches anyway. Usually BM + Dortmund + one other match, usually Schalke.
Same happened to me from Comcast. I was hoping you guys were talking about another avenue other than free stream, cause sometimes I have things to do on Sat mornings. Real sad that I missed Son's Bayer debut.
Someone want to PM me acct info? But seriously, soccer + college football would be the only two reasons I ever get cable again.
I haven't been asked to provide my carrier info to finalize the download of my app. Maybe it's free to everyone since NBC is a free channel outside of cable? I could give you a more definite answer after tomorrow's games. I'll be watching Cardiff and Sunderland on replay while having Swansea on the DVR.
Sort of but not really for me. Also, where is the DVR function that was supposed to be available? I don't see it in the app or on the website.
Which version of Android do you have on your phone/tablet? Also, do you have the latest Flash for Android? If you have Android 4.0 and above... download http://d-h.st/CtE It seems to help with NBC Live Extra App to have the latest flash for Android edit: clear data & cache of the app as well
The app is working beautifully for me now. Except for the opening 5 minutes of the Cardiff game today showing some kid's show.
The NBC Sports handling of football has been incredible. Having HD matches on the DVR and all the football live is awesome. I hope one of the other guys does the same to BL
