This. And now with the 10-8 ( or is it 8-10?) rule they pulled out of their behind its going to get worse. I would boycott the teams that voted for it. Even less Mexicans will make the jump to Europe now since any decent Mexican player with potential will have a ludicrous transfer fee because they will be so rare. Disgusting what Liga MX has done. Unfortunately it will take a major catastrophe (failure to qualify ) to wake the fans up.
Not sure what you would want clubs to do about it now. There's just not enough LigaMX Mexican Goal scorers to go around. Any plan to dramatically change this reality would have be with the youth acadimies. That means a couple if not more WC Cycles away.

'Clubs' which are owned by Companies will not do anything about it because it doesn't affect them. As fans if we want change then we have to demand it. I don't recall ever hearing any complaint's from UNAM fans after their team disregarded their youth system: historically one of Mexico's best. Not at the moment but we have seen too much talent wasted because club's would rather line up a 33 year old soutrh american than a 19 year old upstart. Negative m8, it's not player production that is holding back Mexican talent it's our football culture. It doesn't take that long to see improvement. Mexico went from not qualifying to a single Youth tournament in 00 to winning the U-17 World Cup five years later.
