To be fair they had a massive disruption with the whole primera division splitting from the federation and not allowing the players to play.
Then they came back and in that time didn't really have time to gel.
But glad they got the win, liking the fact the backline are starting to really gel.

Evan, did FIFA say why? Or is it just a massive shuffle of standings due to all the games.

http://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/ranking-table/men/index.html let's you do calculations for any team. Friendlies are weighted less, and you can have friendlies that decrease your points even if you win. The loss of 1 point isn't because of what other teams do. What other teams do affects El Salvador (or any teams') ranking, but not their points. Of the ten teams above El Salvador, El Salvador will pass 4 of them. Of the ten teams below El Salvador, 1 to 4 of them will pass El Salvador depending on games Tuesday. I'm not guaranteeing that teams more than ten spots away can't pass or be passed by El Salvador, but I'm not checking those teams. Canada will lose 6 points and be 1 point above El Salvador.

Concacaf announces a Nations League tournament to be played in September 2018, all Concacaf teams will be divided into three groups and play round robin matches. This Tourney also replaces the Copa CentroAmerica and Caribbean Cup.

More official games for La Selecta the better we need more games against the local competition, the only real negative is that this allows USA to basically go crazy and cap tie potential dual nationals.

I didnt know where to put this, as this is u21 soccer. it can be moved if necessary.
The Central American games are going in right now. Soccer is u21, no Guate (suspension). Two groups of three:
    Group A: ES, CR, Panama
Group B: La H, Nica, and Belize

    Group A games:
    Dec 5: Panama 0-1 CR
    Dec 7: ES 0-0 Panama
    Dec 9: CR 0-0 ES

    Group B Games:
    Dec 5: Nic 1-1 Bel
    Dec 7: Bel 0-5 Hon
    Dec 9: Hon 0-0 Nic

    Semi finals:
    11 Dec: ES v Hon
    and CR v Nic

    Roster for this tournament:

Edit: if we get at least 3rd place (which we should) we go to the central american and Caribbean games next year.

We lost in penalties vs Honduras. Tied 1-1 regular time. We missed 4 out of 5 penalties. Ridiculous. 2 blocked and 2 completely missed. Sad.
Should be playing Nicaragua for the 3rd place game.

We beat Nicaragua 1-0. Should be noted....Nica owned that game. The soccer gods were with us, they hit the pole 2x at least. Missed some sitters. On to the CAC games in 2018.
