Who's the national team coaches of all our Asian teams? There seems to be a few nations getting itchy feet now and replacing their national coach with only a few weeks remaining before the World Cup qualifiers kick off again. The latest beign Oman who have replaced Gabriel Calderon with Uruguayan Julio Cesar Ribas - http://www.the-afc.com/eng/articles/viewArticle.jsp_165118053.html I'm just thinking mainly of such nations like Bhutan, Afghanistan, Macao etc and what an easy life they have when gettign knocked out of the first round all the time, and not having much else to do!
India's coach is english man Bob hughton.., previously he was a coach to chinese NT. I donno when his contract ends, but surely continues to the end of 2008.
Our coach is Fajer Ibrahim,i say he is a good coach, maybe there is a chance that Antonio Cabrini will be our coach, all in all, inshaallah one of them will lead us to the WC 2010.
Afghanistan National team coach is German Kluas Stert, and as we can see by there recent results, they are sure on the rise. Good indications will show at the Challenge Cup.
I assume you are from Syria syriaman lol but quick question, with the wc prelim games between afg v syria... is there anyway of gettin the matches, if so how.. either one of the legs 3-0 and 2-1 wins to Syria...
Go to youtube and write there Afghanistan Soccer and there is a video between the others and there they show a small part of the 1st leg with the goals!
Qodirov takes helm of Tajikistan DUSHANBE – Pulod Qodirov has been announced as the new head coach of the Tajikistan national team, replacing Makhmadjon Khabibulloev. Khabibulloev resigned from his position following the Tajiks 4-2 loss to Oman in December, having already seen the Central Asians’ eliminated from the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign after a 3-1 aggregate defeat to Singapore. Qodirov caught the eye at the 2006 AFC U-16 Championship, leading the Tajiks to a third-place finish and a place in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup where the Central Asians defeated the USA 4-3. And the 44-year-old coach has admitted that he is not afraid to call-up youth players as he gears-up for Tajikistan’s defence of the AFC Challenge Cup, where the inaugural winners have been drawn to face Brunei, the Philippines, and Bhutan in the qualifying tournament. “I have to build the team spirit first. Definitely I will open the door for the young players although we will still keep the experienced players as well,” said Qodirov http://www.the-afc.com/eng/articles/viewArticle.jsp_165118255.html
Former international Norman Fegidero Jr. will coach the Philippines national team for the ASEAN nations’ forthcoming AFC Challenge Cup qualifying campaign.
Correct. Never in my life have I been so unsure of a decision . I'm going to stay optimistic, though...
Well, since they are in troubled times, (i guess because they can't score) then its not bad to appoint him. I'm assuming since he is legend their, that he would one day get the chance, and at the moment, Iran can only really go up, as they seem to be in a bad patch, although not getting beat, so i assume Daei won't have to much trouble in lifting his new troops. At least he hasen't taken over a team who have done well at a world cup or just won an Asian Cup, as he would find it difficult to maintain a winning team. I guess this also tells us that the Iran FA couldn't find anyone else and started to panic.
A couple of coaching changes made recently. Makes me wonder why national teams change their coach in the middle of the qualifying process. Here's the changes Kuwait - sacked Rodion Gacanin, replaced with Mohamed Ibrahim, in for his third stint Oman - sacked Julio Cesar Ribas, replaced with Al Nahda coach Hamed Al Azani on a temp basis
Portugese Nelo Vingada is Jordans coach. I don't know if he is great or not yet, since it is too early to tell but he has done an alright job so far. Winning most of their games, including friendlies, and losing a few and of course a tie against Korea last saturday. If Jordan makes it to the next round then he has done a good job but that still does not make him a great coach. We just have to wait and see. I hope that they win in Amman on Saturday for the return match against Korea, inshallah. Good night guys.
Vingada was the coach of Saudi Arabia back in 1996 and won the Asian Cup with them. So he is not bad.
Naser Al Johar has replaced Brazilian Hélio dos Anjos as head coach of Saudi Arabia. The federation thought that Dos Anjos failed to get the desired performance from the national team despite having talented players at his disposal.
