I remember seeing the Braves and Brewers playing shortly after Milwaukee moved to the NL and they wore old Milwaukee Braves unis. Both teams were in "home white" uniforms and the only difference was the "M" on the Brewers' hats and the script "A" on the Braves'.

And I blame the Cosmos for that too!

I am old enough to remember when they were staunchly against D3.

Come to think of it, we all are.

Or when they claimed that NISA didn’t want them.

I wouldn't entirely rule out the possibility that may be some extremely precocious 2-month-olds reading this.

You can't keep Danny Szetels off the pitch!*

As long as you don't put decent professional players on said field.

Silva might be jumping ship to join the evil USL. Honestly this news surprises me.

At least we'll get a team representing Miami that actually plays in Miami.

I haven't checked in with the Detroit City social media to see how they're handling this.

So will they be signing USL journeymen at MLS TAM level salaries again?

DCFC apparently just announced they were were officially joining NISA, so their supporters are freaking out about being the first professional team in Detroit in 40 years, followed be fighting with people accusing them of selling out by going professional and people pointing out that they aren’t actually in Detroit (they are located in Hamtrack, which is a separate city completely surrounded by Detroit).

My family are originally from right around the corner from Keyworth and two of my friends lived practically across the street (and played in their inaugural rec league) so I know the area well. I went to some of their earlier games at Cass Tech and was really happy for those guys, but holy crap, what a bunch of abrasive little shits their most vocal supporters turned out to be, especially on social media.

I think a lot of them are fully aware that if MLS came to town, half their support would vanish overnight and along would 50% of their ticket revenue. They've had a huge advantage of being in what has been arguably the most soccer-starved major market in the country.
