Oh, there is humor throughout. Look, we told you they were not a legitimate threat. That MLS had the head start and more resources and the worthwhile markets and the ability to take markets they wanted and the media contracts and the players and the coaches and the investors. It's very unfortunate when teams and leagues go away. This instability may be a process that eventually results in a net positive, but it's a pain in the ass while it's going on.
Seemed an inevitable result to me when NASL formed due to the circumstances and reasoning behind their formation. And it seemed all but confirmed this would happen when they started blowing smoke up all our backsides about making a run at MLS.
