Well, what a shrewd move Jacksonville made going with the NPSL or the NISA instead of jumping to a growing USL with local rivalries with Atlanta, Charleston, Birmingham, Nashville and tossing their lot with NASL and NISA that I don't believe has any teams yet.... Jacksonville fans must be thrilled. with those choices..
The #NASL won't be playing in 2018, if ever again. I'm told the San Diego expansion ownership group including Demba Ba and Eden Hazard will be joining the #USL in 2019. https://t.co/MUjUuJkniV— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) February 27, 2018 This is great news for the NASL.
Can we finally have a proper funeral for this league? I was thinking having a New Orleans style funeral.
If anybody knows any fuller-figured ladies trained in opera, an opportunity for a one-time gig just emerged.
I'm making origami with my vault full.of Bolivars. You need any toilet paper? Seruously, I wrote a year ago that the Cosmos would single handedly destroy second league called NASL. I can't top.that. Is there even a BigSoccer shop any more?
it has ceased to be, it is an ex league. of course the only reason it was even standing on its perch the last few years is because it had been nailed there..

I see they only have 4 official members. PRFC does not have a stadium due to the hurricane damage and who knows if it will ever be fixed unfortunately. This really is a league in death throes.
Interesting to note that the Cal Utd logo has disappeared from the NASL website. No surprise that the San Diego link has gone since they have publically stated they are headed for the USL. However, it would appear to confirm that even NASL doesn't believe that Cal Utd is a prospective member anymore.
Cal Utd has been a second rate train wreck since they announced. Even NASL doesn’t want them anymore.
I've noticed a few anti-soccer types retweeting this news as proof of the ol' "I told you soccer will never be popular here" mantra. I think they're getting leagues mixed up and think that MLS has just called it quits.
