ARMADA FC ADDS DEFENDER ANTHONY WALLACE http://www.nasl.com/news/2016/06/10/armada-fc-adds-defender-anthony-wallace
Maimi working on being the most expensive team in the league. Hell at this rate they'll be spending more then the Galaxy and NYCFC do. It's a shame no one cares about this team down there. Maybe they should use some of those millions in marketing.
Agreed, hopefully the signings get them a little bit of publicity down there and improve their attendance.
Empre of Soccer is reporting over a 500k transfer fee but no exact amount.... If that's true I have no idea how they got Poku for less money than Richie Ryan.
Why not spend that money on someone people have heard of at least? I really don't get it. Not like they're gonna be tearing up the league with these moves.
Looks like the league has found their Washington Redskins. Willing to throw loads of money at anyone and everyone, without much regard to who it is.
Poku has a lot to be prove. Personally, I think Miami is insane for spending that kind of money on Poku, a guy who despite being young, can't play effectively for more than 30 minutes. He has a ton of physical talent, but is woefully lacking in tactical abilities. He is exciting, he will be a fan favorite, but in games he does not score he is a major liablity.
If he's put in the midfield I think he's a liability but put him at forward and just let him run at defenses and you'll be okay. I really do think that Vieira should have put him up top and he would have done better. I do agree with you that its insane money to throw at a player that was probably going to be cut at the end of the season.
Didn't they say that was over the length of the contract (through 2019 ... or something?). Surely not that much per year?!
Isn't Ryan making like 200k a year or something with Miami? Wouldn't surprise me at all if he was making that per year. Maybe it was over the length of the contract and I missed it but I thought that was the per year salary.
I went back to look at it does say $300-$350 but signed through late 2017 ... so maybe that's a season and a half contract, which is still crazy high for him IMO.
...The shopping spree continues. http://www.empireofsoccer.com/report-cosmos-midfielder-gabriel-farfan-on-his-way-to-miami-fc-50365/ If all these moves are true, they'll have one hell of a team, on paper anyway.
The Jacksonville Armada FC announced on Friday midfielders Pascal Millien and Junior Sandoval have mutually agreed to part ways with the club. http://www.armadafc.com/news/2016/0...al-mutually-agree-to-part-ways-with-armada-fc
