He could be making $14m in 3 seasons with Al-Hilal, but no, he prefers Yukon ! It was quite a busy January for the Greeks as there were more than a few who chose to sail away in new lands. Giorgios Samaras was the last of the bunch, signing a contract which will pay him $14m in the next three years with Saudi Arabian side, Al-Hilal. - See more at: http://greece.greekreporter.com/201...bian-side-for-14million/#sthash.YjwQ39Be.dpuf
That seems odd, NASL cannot pay that much -can they?- where did he actually sign? If the Saudi tabloids are worse than who reports on the NASL that can only be a good thing, no?
Cosmos Sign Croatian Int’l Niko Kranjčar for Spring Season http://www.empireofsoccer.com/cosmos-sign-croatian-intl-niko-kranjcar-for-spring-season-45864/
Ok, even I'm clapping for this one. I've wanted this guy in the MLS for years. Absolutely Kranjcar ...
Its a good signing, cause it minimizes the risk. He has a history of zero work ethic and if that manifest okay no fall season for you but if he does well the team can just resign him for the rest of the season.
Former West Ham, Chelsea, Liverpool and England midfielder Joe Cole has agreed a deal to join North American Soccer League (NASL) side Tampa Bay Rowdies, a source has told ESPN FC. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/socc.../tampa-bay-rowdies-offer-joe-cole-deal-source

Some more noise about the Joe Cole deal. Looks like it's happening soon. Rowdies Set to Sign Former England National Team Star Joe Cole
I don't think so either. I guess maybe around people who follow the EPL very closely. He did play for a lot of notable teams there. But if he has a real impact on our offense that will make his name big.
So does this mean the end of the Adu experiment in TB? Don't both players pretty much play in the same position?
Perhaps. Cole is definitely the same role. But maybe they're hoping he can mentor Freddy too? The arrival of Cole maybe shifts the line-up strategy a bit and creates a spot where Adu can sub in at times again.
Mentorship one never-lived-up-to-the-hype-player to another? I really wanna see both of them out there at the same time quite frankly.
At least Joe Cole put together a half decent resume and scored a World Cup goal. Being the English Messi or whatever absurd hype they heaped on him was never fair.*shrug*
Gerardo Torrado joins NASL’s Indy Eleven Torrado, 37, joins the U.S. side after spending the last 12 years with Cruz Azul. In that time, the holding midfielder made 325 appearances for the team, and notching 12 goals in the process. Puerto Rico FC announced a new player signing today in Hector Ramos. He had played most of his career in El Salvador's top league, scoring 44 goals over the past few years. He has also scored 17 goals for the Puerto Rico national team.
The good news is it frees up an international spot. Report: Cosmos’ Kranjcar Close to Deal with Rangers Croatian international Niko Kranjcar’s days in a New York Cosmos shirt could already be over. The Scottish Sun is reporting that the 31-year-old midfielder has come to a verbal agreement with Rangers and is set to sign a two-year contract with the Scottish club. Rangers Manager Mark Warburton crossed the Atlantic to court Kranjcar in New York just last month while he was deep into the Spring Season with the Cosmos. The move would reunite Kranjcar with Joey Barton, his midfield partner at Queens Park Rangers from 2013-2015. Kranjcar’s influence was definitely felt for the Cosmos when he was able to take the field during the NASL’s short spring. After starting as a second half substitute in week one, he went on to make six starts and play 404 minutes for the Cosmos during their campaign. http://www.empireofsoccer.com/report-cosmos-kranjcar-close-to-deal-with-rangers-49342/
