USA to play final pre-World Cup friendly vs. Nigeria in Jacksonville http://www.starsandstripesfc.com/us...-nigeria-2014-friendly-world-cup-jacksonville
I am quite impressed with the crowd they will have in Jacksonville. The Scotland match was one thing. They were facing a team with a dedicated fan base that travels well. Nigeria isn't anywhere near the draw that Scotland is. Of course it is a World Cup year, so that helps. What makes Jacksonville a great place for the NT is it is ideally located within a 5 hour drive of the Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando and Miami metro areas. Would love to know how many of the tickets went to locals.

Sam: 'Team USA happy to be here' http://www.news4jax.com/sports/sam-team-usa-happy-to-be-here/26333674
Marty did us wrong , but I still think he is a great player. Honestly, I really don't care who wins, I just rate the Stanley Cup finals series as one of the best sporting events to watch period.
My understanding of the situation is that Marty never liked it in Tampa for whatever reason, which is a shame considering what he meant to the fans. But I'll root for him over LA any day of the week and twice on Sunday. I am very glad Jax is proving the haters wrong with their showing the second time around. I remember the fact that we were playing Scotland being used as an excuse for why the first one drew so big. I hope the match gets some fans in the upper decks. Can't make it tonight (City is playing, I'm choosing to hold down he fort), but I'm sure there will be another USMNT match at Everbank Field, and I will be there next time.
