We cannot win easy games anymore. Always some problems. Also why are Ghollum, Insigne and Mertens not rested. I just don’t get Sarri decisions on resting players.
even if only one of them started it wouldnt mess us up. I like how Rog and Allan can rotate positions, potential there in big away games where we defend
I believe we drew both games with Sas last season. We looked like shite but great result. Maggio had one of his better games.
Stefano Sensi lost the ball hilariously and it let to the first goal, but I feel like he is a player Napoli should look into. Looks like a player who can play mutliple positions - like giak but obviously better on the ball
We were ass but let's not forget Ghoulam hitting the post would've killed the game off early and soon afterwards Sass scored. I'm starting to think the reason we aren't resting players in these games is to get the for sure win which has been happening. I understand what he's doing but we need to rotate if we're going to be competitive later on in the season. We got the 3 points, on to the next.
if Chievo are without Inglese because we own him, they will be weakened. We have to play the best team against city
The reason Sarri refuses to make full lineup changes is because its very unlikely those players can step in and replace the starters adequately. Look how this team struggled with the starters, if Sarri rested Insigne and Mertens, it wouldnt of had gone well, probably a draw. We saw this last year too. Believe or not, Sarri knows what hes doing, Adl needs to buy Verdi or Chiesa and preferably not Castillejo..
I think its because we have to room to integrate players. We are playing to win now not to win in the future.
We played Sasssulo......at home tho. Heck he didn't even rest guys vs Benevento at home. The problem is this is going to catch up at some point in the season.
I think we got lucky with the goals we scored today and in fact could easily have lost points, and this isnt the 1st time we escape games like these with the 3 points. Callejon, Insigne and Mertens werent all a 100 percent - Ounas would've been a welcome addition. Mario Rui instead of Ghoulam once or twice wouldnt hurt either.
When inter won it all they did very little rotating. actually the one game that i think they did rotate players for was the game VS catania where they lost.
Honestly I thought we did fine. There was never a point in that game where I thought we'd drop points. They had one shot on target the entire match. It just happened to go in.
And after that all the players were burnt out and de motivated knowing they couldn't match the effort put in that one season, so much they collapsed he following season and lacked any direction or hope. It took years of rebuilding to go back to winning ways
We certainly do with better depth, but we dont want to burn out our forward trio. Well unless mertens leaves with that ridiculous clause in his contract
