They have had chance after chance to score. At some point, the blame goes to the players on the pitch not capitalizing.

Who was responsible for the goal? Hysaj.

    Who scored? Mertens.

I don’t think anyone in this forum would have before the game said Ancelotti is doing the right thing starting Hysaj and Milik.

He ********ed it up today. Imagine Malcuit and Mertens had started.

    It’s not rocket science.

But I promise he will start them again and again.

Anyway, Ancelotti through this game out and we are out of the title race.

I can’t blame Roma. They have limited resources.

Thing is......I think he's the opposite of Sarri in that he feels the need to rotate the bench meaning Milik has to start some of these games.

But we just aren't the same team without Mertens starting. So I dunno what u do.

Sarri didn't rotate and we wore out by the end of the year.

It's like damned it u do damned if u don't here.

But if we aren't careful we'll find ourselves out of both competitions.

We are already 6 points back of Juve and despite playing well vs Liverpool and PSG, it's still a toss up on whether or not we advance in that competition.

I disagree. He has to start Mario Rui. But why not Malcuit for Hysaj? Malcuit is not world class and in big games Maksimovic should start but how many games should Hysaj cost us? Changing a right back in a game you are chasing shows Ancelotti even realized his mistake. But you can’t be paid 6 million a year and have us out of the title race in October.

And in attack Milik is grabage. If you want to rest Mertens then play Zielinski behind Insigne. Also Mertens can play a few games until Verdi and Younes are fit. We also have Ounas. But Milik needs to go. He is just bad.

That is why your priority has to be the league. We will not win the CL and you can be out of a cup competition pretty quickly in which case our season will be damn boring.

Anyone who thinks we will get closer to Juve is delusional.

I agree about the priority being about the league. I mean advance or not outta the group stage in the Champions League there is no way we are going all the way in that competition.

Today sucked because we just gave back the 2 points Juve gave to us in the previous week.

Should've won, pretty disappointing tbh ... I'm more surprised how bad Roma is. They're actually awful

We completely dominated. Sometimes the ball just doesn't find the back of the net. But keep playing like this and we'll do great this season

To bank on two midgets up front is a disaster waiting to happen. He's starting Milik for obvious reasons. He caused Roma all kinds of trouble with his physical presence, but his form is way off, and missed chance after chance. Funny thing is Insigne was just as bad in this match. They need a physical in-form striker more than anything, and that's why he keeps playing Milik. Mertens was off form until recently, but those two up front is not the answer going forward. Hysaj just looks off so I'm thinking the leash was already short.

This guy has the team playing competitive on two fronts and the critics here won't let up. Truly some ungrateful fans.

If my memory serves me well, we didn't do great in home games against vs Roma.

Seems like playing Roma at home is some kind of voodoo for us. Havent watch the game so can't comment on performance. CA choose to start Milik might have to do with the physicality of Roma. But Milik is in such poor form now its a wrong choice in hindset. He is such a pain to watch at time.

As for critics of CA, they have been here since Day 1. The pitchforks will always come out whenever we either draw or loss. We are probably where we are given the overall quality of the squad.

This is what bothers me. Insigne had a bad match. Everyone does. But he has been amazing all season.

Milik is garbage. Maybe it is because of his injuries but he sucks. He never plays well. He lacks speed, he can’t control the ball and is not skilful. This has nothing to do with his form.

Hysaj is the same. Looks solid against weak teams but always sucks against better opposition.

No one is ungrateful. We praise Ancelotti and today he should be criticized. He cost us two important points and effectively got us out of the title race.

Again not true. Many were sad Sarri left but most said CA was the best replacement. CA has been praised the last games and today he has to be criticized for starting Hysaj and Milik.
