I think it's pretty realistic to say Real Madrid don't want to sell to Atletico ... If we send in an offer with obligation or a straight purchase I think James is ours
https://www.football-italia.net/140820/rog-eintracht-brings-elmas Rog out for 20mil looks like a straight transfer so this money would be for this year
Callejon and Insigne paired with Milik just does not work. That trio will take this team nowhere. Ghoulam is a serious ? based on his past injuries, there is also no depth to speak of in the mid and backline. The current roster needs many pieces to make any serous run at anything.
I will ignore timing of payment, because it is irrelevant. OUT 77+7 Hamsik 20+5 Insigne 1.5 Diawara 21 Albiol 4 Sepe 4.5 (next year) Grassi 6 (next year) Inglese 20 (18 next year) +2 We can likely raise another 100M by selling Rog 20M, and Hysaj, Rui, Verdi, Ounas, Vinicius and Tonelli. IN 49.5 Di Lorenzo 9.5 Manolas 36 Ospina 4 Elmas coming for 16M. We still have 120M for James, Icardi and a left back.
On the Lozano end we haven't heard anything in a while. I'm starting to read rumblings from the ADL faithful that the James deal was always going to be a difficult one and that we should never have our hopes too high. Also that "maybe Napoli have their sights on another player" Calling it now: We don't sign James. Instead we get De Paul
Ancelotti pretending to be a journalist asks Insigne "how come in the national team, under a different system, you play better?" Dries joking answers for Insigne "it's always the coaches fault"
Mertens publicly stated that we need to reinforce. He also kind of has this blunt personality, it's just that he says that which we love to hear, whereas DL say that which we don't. I wonder what we'll do. I see a lot of quality in our team as it is even now. We created the most chances last season, so although James sounds really good and we'd all love to see him play for us, we need to just start converting chances into goals. We tend to create chances for a lot of players in our team, so perhaps not even a world-class striker would suit us, or maybe with time.
I don't want the fans to be disappointed as we have already seen a huge upgrade to our defense. We aren't selling any star players and we are still linked with big names: James, Icardi and Lozano. We'll see how the market turns out
The most important thing is pressure. We never play well under pressure Papers say we are going after Nicolas Pepe. There is no way he's coming us
https://www.football-italia.net/140848/no-trippier-juve-or-napoli Happy and sad about this, never wanted Trippier but I wanted to sell Hysaj to Atletico so that we could bring in more money. At least they just wasted 25mil anyways
I agree, I think that ADL is trying for a loan for 1 of them and then a straight buy for the other but I don't understand why he hasn't put a loan with obligation for James instead of a loan with option.
DL has just confirmed that he considers a striker to be of higher importance. It is true that we have been creating a lot of chances. I don't know what to expect from Elmas, but DL is right when he says that the management deserves some trust, as they really have been making a lot of stealth operations on the market which actually have been great, though it would be wrong to claim perfection. We did spend great amounts of money on players that I still doubt, be it Maksimovic or Verdi. However, their resale value remains valid, so we can't really blame anyone.
There's no shot we get Nicholas Pepe, I hope Madrid decides our loan with option to buy is best case scenario for them rather than selling right now to their rivals Atletico Madrid
With the money they get from his sale they can bring in someone better or at the same level as James. Real with Zidane back is going to be a whole different team than this years.
For the past 10 years, the best investment football clubs have been making are actual players because the market value on them have skyrocketed, which begs the question is it still a viable business strategy today? Wouldn't it be smart to cash out the money for both Icardi and James and possibly double their value and sell them later? I mean they are both in a good age, talented and will be playing in a respected league dominated by two teams. I think Lozano should depend on whether we ship Insigne off. I know people want Lozano to replace Callejon, but that would create too many imbalances - Callejon needs a real replacement.
