Ultimately you have to deal with the cards you have been dealt, Id like to have Conti or some other great right back but there just isnt that many available. Ill be honest, Hysaj has been rough this year at times but he was an absolute beast for us last year as no one else played except Maggio like 4 times. He doesnt create a bunch but thats not his role, we need a better winger who is more than a tap in merchant. I think Callejon is a good player but he doesnt make many other players around him better. Unless Napoli buys a young RB and develops him well, I dont see how we will get anyone better than Hysaj. Who knows what a quality RB goes these days in the market. Sounds like ADL is trying to buy Chiesa at all costs, I think that is a better investment, but yet somehow still think Callejon would start every game.
According to some reports, Ghoulam himself demands ridiculous wages, so that is that. Football has become this way and it's very difficult to go around it, and even then it only lasts some time.

Armando Anastasio- on loan at Carpi. 21 year old LB, hasn't made an app. Sebastiano Luperto- on loan at Empoli. 21 year old at LB, has made 5 apps. Alberto Grassi - on loan at SPAL. 22 year old CM, only 2 apps, both as a sub. Mario Prezioso - on loan at Carpi. 21 year old CM, hasn't made an app. Antonio Romano - on loan at Carpi. 21 year old CM, has made 1 app. Alfredo Bifulco - on loan at Pro Vercelli. 20 year old RW, has made 7 apps and a goal. Roberto Inglese - on loan at Chievo. 25 year old ST, has made 9 apps and 3 goals, 2 assists. Roberto Insigne - on loan at Parma. 23 year old CAM, has made 6 apps. Bifulco looks interesting. I didn't list any of the players playing Serie C.
Grassi was the dumbest move. Similar to Inglese and renewing Maggio 3 years ago. Short term thinking by ADL to not make proper investments.
Because he doesn't feel appreciated...some people seriously think he was worse than Hysaj last year, neglecting the fact Ghoulam has two jobs whereas Hysaj has one and is terrible at it, especially if he's being challenged. Ghoulam has always been good for Napoli imo. He offers something none of our other wing backs do, and in today's football that something is invaluable - no wonder Pep wants him at City asap. I say pay Ghoulam what he wants and include the 40-50 mill buy-out. If we win the Scudetto theres no way around giving our best players a pay-rise if we wish to keep them and succeed.
We are willing to pay Ghoulam what he wants according to recent reports the problem is his camp want a 25mil relause clause while we want a 45mil relause clause.

4 points against Roma and Inter is not bad at all, but the question is do we still have the strength even when a few players are tired to roll over teams we should be getting 3 points against? Is this where our depth should be better? A few years ago we could sub on a player like Mertens, atm all we have is Ounas - I said from the start he wasnt the right player to get at this very stage in case something like this happened, I hope to God he will be though. Imo we need another attacking asset regardless of Miliks condition. And someone for the love of God kick Giak out.
Pretty sure we we're trying really hard to get Giak to leave but no one wants to pay 2m a year for him so he'd rather rot on our bench then take a pay cut. We need a back up striker or a back up for left wing. Best case, both.
We need this was a problem when ADL got him or renewed Maggio. But ADL rather gives these guys 2 million than buy players. Another area we lack depth are wingbacks. Ghollum and Hysaj cannot play every game. Hysaj should not even be a starter. Rumours about Sarri to Chelsea have started as well. They want to offer him 12 million a season.

I hate ADL but really hope Sarri stays. If Sarri goes we will lose Koulibaly, Ghollum, Mertens. Insigne may also leave and who knows if we can keep Jorginho. We are only where we are because of Sarri.
Sarri is the person keeping us together. If we want to continue, we need ADL to put cash into the side. We have a world class manager and great pieces, we just need to build around them. Not sure why he couldn't just do that this summer
ADL has no idea what he has in Sarri. Teams around the World have noticed who he is and what he brings to the table, and they will line up to get him. Sarriball is for real and will be successful abroad, and we won't see it here after this season.
With the rise of Pep in the EPL the rest of the clubs in England will be ready to pay Sarri more than 12 mill a year - believe that. If dela doesnt get his head out of his ass soon sarri might leave. United, Arsenal and Chelsea all want what City have and Sarri imo is better than Guardiola.
