making hispanic flavoured teams will cause division and people will get isolated culturally. It happened in the Australian NSL with the ethnic clubs, it will happen in the MLS.

It's a great name. Only offends chemists who aren't really people anyway

I loathe them. Despite the Great Salt Lake, I don't think "Armada" fits Utah very well, being an inland state. The other two are so bad I don't even want to think about it.

But I will support the team NO MATTER what they are called.

 

I want to keep "Armada" for the San Diego MLS team....that we'll be getting in 2030 or after I'm dead, whichever comes first.

 

Yah, I know. But why are we naming teams that don't end with an "S" here? (Except for Earthquakes and Metrostars) The name "Rave" came to my head because I'm a freak of techno muzak.

 

Ya know, when I was knee-high on a grasshopper we used the term "muzak" to describe the crap that got played over the PA in K-Mart or in an elevator.

 

That's actually what it's called. There's a company that you subscribe to kind of like xm radio, Muzak.

Olympus SLC or SLC Olympus. Geographical reference not entirely tied to the olympics but pretty darn close. It's a peak in the SL Valley.

I wish I could remember where I had read it, but there was a statement by Dave Checketts saying that the team name would have nothing to do with bee's or behives etc. If anyone can halp me find it and post it for our friend Brian that would be great...
