Of the 42k views of that video of Pep reacting to the offsides, at least 1200 are from me. I can't get enough.

Their Prem replay on Sunday will be great viewing again. My prediction is they'll wallop Spurs by multiple goals.

Arsenal look close to have secured their place in the EL semis: Lacazette with a superb freekick has put them in the lead. Hard to see how Napoli will come back and score 4 on them...

I am legitimately curious though if Pool or Spurs win the CL or if Chelsea or Arsenal (provided they finish in the top 4 in the league) win the EL, if it means that the 5th placed team in the Prem would qualify for the CL next season. Never can remember what the rule is on that matter.

5th place team would only qualify for CL if it wins EL or CL, if it's in top 4 you don't get an additional spot. There's also a realistic scenario where 4th-place team does not qualify for CL. If Spurs win CL and end up 5th or 6th in the league and Chelsea (or Arsenal) win EL and end up 5th or 6th in the league, then 4th place would not make it to CL next season.

So much for Benfica and Joao Felix's first leg performance: Benfica are out and Frankfurt join Arsenal, Chelsea and Valencia in the EL semis.

The fact that City went out on away goals makes no difference. It's a shit rule and should be stricken from the books.

And if has to be kept in some form, at least wipe the slate clean if the second leg goes into added time. As it stands now, and JamesA will correct me if this has been cleaned up, had it gone into added time and the away team scored a goal the home team would have had to score goals to win the tie.

But I do agree that City are going to murder their next few opponents, which includes us next Wednesday. Or maybe some of our players decide to show up.

I fancy spurs going all the way to final... Juve had no width at all Spurs are good on counter and have ample of pace

Do they? Outside of Song and Lucas, they have no one else abd Lucas isnt even a starter.

Just like Juve, Spurs get their width from their fullbacks most times.

Also Son is allegedly suspended for 1st leg.

I like Ajax to beat Spurs. It's not like they sat back and got lucky against Madrid and Juve. They attacked them and Juve and Madrid's defenses were overwhelmed. I don't see Spurs faring any better.

Both games should be electric. Spurs is exciting and so is ajax. We may hate Liverpool but they are excited and Barcelona with Messi just as much. Nice pair of semi finals coming up. Barca should win it but I prefer ajax

Style wise, Spurs appear to be a better fit for Ajax than Real or Juve were IMO. Don't think that Ajax will completely dominate Spurs the way they have Real and Juve at one point in those tie.
Some of the matchups, especially in midfield, should be very intriguing. That being said, Ajax will take this one I think. If Son is indeed suspended for the first leg, then Spurs are really in trouble. Regardless though, it should be a great tie, one I'm very much looking forward to. Should be fun.

Why Son is suspended ?? All im saying is they are better fare than Juve who were theowing a fullback (cancelo) to stretch the game and Juve doesnt play much intricate football. Spurs matched Citeh and their overall setup will be more challenging to Ajax. Son Moura Alli and in midfield Waynama Sissoko does possess pace to cover the midfield and Eriksen isnt Mata plus Poch is a brillaint manager.
