I`ll stick strictly to players I`ve seen enough good footage of and as already said retired players only. Here is my best balanced team... and 5 subs. (Goalkeeper) Peter Schmeichel (Left Back) Paulo Maldini (Centre Back) Franco Baresi (Sweeper) Franz Beckenbauer (c) (Right Back/Right wing) Cafu (Defensive mid) Frank Rijkaard (Left Wing/Free role) Johan Cruyff (Centre Mid/Free Role) Diego Maradona (Right Mid/Box to Box) Lothar Mathaus (Second Striker) Pele (Striker) Marco van Basten Subs - Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, George Best, Zico, Jimmy Johnstone.
not really ... Cruyff tent to drift to the left in most of his games, despites of lining up as CFW Maradona in other hand was all over teh place. but on the RIGHT side that he drifted there more so than the left
I'm 30 y/o so I'm going to stick with the best 11 players who started their careers in my lifetime. Here goes... ----------------VanderSar------------- Cafu---Puyol---Maldini---R. Carlos --------------Scholes--Keane--------- --Ronaldinho*--Bergkamp--Zidane --------------Ronaldo(9)---------- *although I don't believe Ronaldinho has officially retired, he's about done so I'm throwing him in there
My Retired XI -------------------Kahn-------------------- ----Cafu-- Desailly--Nesta--Maldini---- ---------Matthaus-Redondo-------------- ----- Figo------Zidane-----Ronaldiniho- ----------------Ronaldo-------------------- Can't comment on Pele, Cruyff, Maradona, Beckenbauer because I have only watched their past videos not full matches and have not followed them closely. I only chose the players based on the ones I have watched in the era I began watching football.
