I posted it for @butters59 who was asking how tall Mukwelle's father was. That is his father in the video, right?

So you're saying that if Messi was 5'3 instead of 5'5 he would'nt be as good? How many times have you seen Messi head the ball in his career?

this is such an invalid conversation at this point.

Once but it was a big, big goal that sealed the '09 Champions League title :D

Seriously, he's heading is very, very underrated. He's not going to out jump anyone but he has scored a decent amount with his head.

    So, 15 out of 243?

Then it's decided. Muki will be 6% worse than Messi.

I know we have been excited about youth players and classes before...but this current group in the 16-20 yr old range has me as excited as I have ever been about our youth. The best part is it's more than just 2 or 3 potential talents in Bradenton like we use to have. It seems we have at least 3 or 4 quality talents at each age group right now and they're with top youth teams around the world/at home. Good luck to all those guys, Akale included.

The name Mookie Akale rolls off the tongue. Here's to hoping he makes it big!

I guess the ASN article answers my question:

In Spain there are few roster spaces available for players who don't have European Union passports or certain African passports. Akale is attempting to obtain a Cameroonian passport through his father but Villarreal’s interest in him is significant whether or not he gets it.

Villarreal's first team is very young for full side.

I like this kid, love the skill and touch. Fascinated on where/how he ends up in a few years.

One of the few players in our system that can truly be "world class" top 50 players in the world.

without getting into some weird messi/height discussion, i wonder how effective he can be physically as he moves into top leagues and playing against "men". (for lack of a better word).

more rhetorical than anything, but will be interesting for sure.

This is some of the best YA news in a long time. Between Akale and Rubin, plus Novakovich in England, I'm very interested in seeing how our striker pool shapes up a few years from now, because we are thin as a razor blade.

That is one small individual. Either that or the guy next to him is 8 feet tall.
