No Collusion. No impeachment either I guess: ‘Mitch McConnell Reassures Hannity: Don Jr. Subpoena Will ‘Have a Happy Ending’’@senatemajldr ‘said the “good news” is that Burr has “already indicated that the committee will find no collusion’ 😑https://t.co/Ji2quuGyvi— RynheartTheReluctant (@TheRynheart) May 10, 2019
People turn out for Presidential elections. I'd hate to see momentum on down ballot issues and candidates disappear because they don't need to vote against Trump.
I suspect Don Jr. has paid for a few "happy endings" in his day, maybe at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa by Mar a Lago.
Regarding the process of holding the AG in comptemt. Congress has the right for documentation, but it may take awhile. https://www.economist.com/united-st...is-not-the-first-president-to-fight-subpoenas

Props to Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI), the first Republican congressperson who has called for impeachment. Finally, a sitting elected Republican, as opposed to a retired or left-the-party never-Trumper, has put country / Constitution over party. Here are my principal conclusions:1. Attorney General Barr has deliberately misrepresented Mueller’s report.2. President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.3. Partisanship has eroded our system of checks and balances.4. Few members of Congress have read the report.— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 18, 2019
This seems interesting. https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/...transactions-kushner-trump-russian-laundering Deutsche Bank anti-money laundering staff identified a number of DJT and Jared transactions as possible money laundering and reported it to D.B. executives. The executives refused to end the proper referrals to federal law enforcement.
Interesting how rank & file employees in fianancial services like me & these DB employees have to be licensed and take constant compliance and anti money laundering classes. If you see something, say something basically. Yet when Jared & Trump were dry cleaning millions DB execs ignored their own employees red flags. Un-fvcking-real.
It’s not only interesting, it’s the whole enchilada. This is exactly what made Trump apoplectic about the Mueller investigation: that Mueller would discover his criminal money laundering activity. My guess is this is just the sort of business Mueller referred to SDNY and the NYAG.
And if he survives the primary, the GOP base will be so against him that he could lose in the general election. Amash is a libertarian so he may be the only one that will do this, the other "libertarian" senator is deep into the Russia thing so he won't.
Amash contd...... Pretty solid thread as well. People who say there were no underlying crimes and therefore the president could not have intended to illegally obstruct the investigation—and therefore cannot be impeached—are resting their argument on several falsehoods:— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 20, 2019 1. They say there were no underlying crimes.— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 20, 2019 In fact, there were many crimes revealed by the investigation, some of which were charged, and some of which were not but are nonetheless described in Mueller’s report.— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 20, 2019 In fact, obstruction of justice does not require the prosecution of an underlying crime, and there is a logical reason for that. Prosecutors might not charge a crime precisely *because* obstruction of justice denied them timely access to evidence that could lead to a prosecution.— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 20, 2019 contd....
I am getting the feeling that the House has reached its breaking point and hell may break loose soon with regard to the Mueller investigation and an eventual impeachment inquiry. The chorus is getting louder and I don't think Pelosi will be able to hold this longer.
I just hope his victory speech is as good as the last time he was primaried: https://www.politico.com/story/2014/08/justin-amash-demands-apology-109758
More indictments: BREAKING / NBC NEWS: Bank CEO Stephen Calk has been indicted by a federal grand jury and charged in connection with a plan to exchange $16 million in loans to Paul Manafort for his help in getting Caulk a Trump administration position.— Tom Winter (@Tom_Winter) May 23, 2019
It was pointed out yesterday that there are only 36 Dems in the house who are really in favor of Impeachment, out of about 220
Calk or Caulk? Caulk? He is in a sticky situation, but his alibi is probably "water tight. May it is Chalk and he should chalk it up to a bad deal.
Looks like Amash is going down throwing punches. Mueller’s report describes a consistent effort by the president to use his office to obstruct or otherwise corruptly impede the Russian election interference investigation because it put his interests at risk.— Justin Amash (@justinamash) May 23, 2019

The Freedom Caucus which he helped found doesn't believe much in freedom of speech. They're in the Trump tank.
Trump probably thinks this means that he personally gets possession of it and can flip it for some sweet cash.
This is where I remind everyone that reporting states the Mueller investigation made a profit. And also that it looks like Trump likely successfully executed a coverup, just like Reagan/Bush and Nixon (unless you think the 18 1/2 minute gap contained exonerating evidence.)
