MSG Networks Announces 2021 New York Red Bulls Telecast Schedule
MSG Networks and Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls today announced the team’s official telecast schedule for the 2021 season. MSG Networks will televise up to 30 of the Red Bulls’ 34 regular season matches this year.
MSG Networks, which has been the regional television home of the Red Bulls (previously the MetroStars) since 1996, will telecast pregame and postgame coverage for all home games it televises, and pregame shows for all away games it televises.
Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Steve Cangialosi returns for his 14th season as the team’s play-by-play announcer, alongside U.S. soccer legend and former Olympic goalkeeper Shep Messing, now in his 21st season as game analyst. Michelle Gingras also returns for her 4th season as host and sideline reporter.
MSG Network will televise the Red Bulls’ season opener at 8:00pm on Saturday, April 17th, when they kick off their 2021 campaign at home versus Sporting Kansas City. Last year, the Red Bulls clinched a postseason berth for the 11th consecutive season, which is tied for the 2nd longest streak in MLS history.
Red Bulls games on MSG Networks will also be available for viewing on MSG GO, the networks’ live streaming and video on demand platform for smartphones, tablets, and computers. The Spanish radio broadcast of the team’s radio channel, Red Bulls Radio, will also feature as the SAP option for MSG Networks telecasts, with broadcaster Stefano Fusaro calling play-by-play action.
