Which is it, mediocre speed or slow? Earlier you said he was slow, now he has been upgraded to mediocre? This is where the internet gets weird, when people argue about things that aren't actually in debate. He is fast enough to the point where it is never a point of complaint in his game. Where are you watching the games where his speed is an issue? I see defenders hanging back, respecting his speed and I see him beating guys on balls played into space. He was bad in the EPL but it wasn't for lack of speed. Lots of ways to be bad and fast.
And so what? Jones is widely known for his speed. In a sprint, Jozy was fast enough to get where he wanted be to shoot and to do so under control. How do you argue that Jozy is slow in good faith?
I You are moving the goalposts from the original claim that JA is not fast enough to be a decent PL forward to, he isn't as fast as our fastest players. That was never my claim. As I said, the internet is at its worst when people argue over stuff that isn't in question.
I didn't respond to a goalpost. I responded to your post. Posting an opinion and blaming the internet when people disagree is a curious tactic. I didn't even disagree actually. I gave my examples of fast and not fast players.
Read the rest of the conversation. I have been consistent. I mention the internet because I doubt we would have such choppy conversation live.
I doubt he makes the 2022 tournament. He will be our record goalscorer, just hope it comes in a worthy game rather than a winter friendly against Guatemala. It's amazing how he's still only 28. He could have achieved so much for us in regards to past strikers (Wynalda/Max-Moore,McBride,Mathis,EJ,Davies).

True. He was also probably tied with Bradley as the best player on the field against the Liga MX champ.
That was a pretty seeet goal, especially in context of the time and score. Jozy is ridiculously clutch for TFC.
More to the point, TFC play to Jozy's strength. It's a pity Feilhaber was black-balled: Jozy could have fed off his creativity.
Tell me more about the interplay between "running under control" and "speed measured in a straight line."
