It's being considered for an oscar. Though, there have been complaints about the movie where people felt nausea during a scene. It's based on a true story! I see James Franco being nominated for an oscar. Also, Check out DOG POUND: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5p-Q1yuyJE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5p-Q1yuyJE[/ame] I saw it last night with my cousin. What a crazy little film!
Guys, Here it is. The new 'GREEN LANTERN' trailer: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJABsJQCZHA"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJABsJQCZHA[/ame] Umm. It felt a little cheesy. I don't like Ryan Reynolds.
You should be paid to watch that. And no, I'm not a religious nut, I'm an atheist. It's nuts how the "documentary" format seems to be exploding again as a common propaganda form.
I recently came across an Indian movie set in Goa in the late 1950s when it was ruled by Portugal and was about to be annexed by India. The movie was made in the 80s and is kind of slow sometimes. However,I found it very interesting as it does a great job of showing the culture of the period in great detail. Good watch if you are into that kind of stuff. Anyways the movie is called "Trikal" and is available through Netflix.
Just watched DRIVE at AMC. Bang for buck. 8/10 Wow! Pretty good, slick film. Not too cheesy. Reminded me of Tarantino's noir action/thriller, but much better directed. I recommend it. Best movie of the year.
I saw THE THING the other night and it was quite disappointing. It is a remake of the 80s' version and it seemed to be rushed, too much CGI and useless characters. I don't understand why hollywood thinks they're inferior to the fans.... all they care about is money. My rating: 6/10. Rent it on DVD.
Just watched "Warrior" with my roommate and his father. Wow! Just watch it. It's an instant classic with a evocative ending. Can't say enough. 9/10. A MUST SEE!
Watched A serbian film last night.. 8/10 Definatly recommend it to everyone on here. Thought it was well acted by the entire cast and the story which started out a little weird turned out to be touching. One of those movies thats better to watch with the entire family. Obrigado amigos
Just watched OLDBOY remake from Spike Lee. Utter crap, the original is more slick and Brolin is miscast. 4/10
Deliver Us From Evil = Crapfest. 2/10. What a turd of a movie! Don't bother. And to think they made another PURGE movie. So wrong.
The Gambler starring Marky Mark. Okay story, basically remade. James Caan was a better fit but I can take Wahlberg as a professor. 6/10 American Sniper starring Bradley Cooper. Great film, a lot of emotional scenes and we'll acted, based on Chris Kyles life as a sniper. He had the most kills. 8/10
Just finished s5 Gomorra, the best show no one is talking about. Wow! Zeta, you remind me of Ciro, since you talk big game. E vero! Lol!
Update: *All Quiet in the Western Front. Just incredible! 8/10 * Warrior Nun, starring lovely Alba Batista, is straight garbage, like what Netflix usually puts out. 4/10 * Finished watching House of dragons -- my goodness, it's too good. 9/10 * Starting Severance... Looks REALLY good.
Totally agree. After I saw it I kept asking people if they'd seen it so I could discuss it. There's one 20 second sequence I found completely horrifying. 21st century computer effects and cinematography can really make a huge impact.
Portuguese actress Daniela Melchior is playing in the Roadhouse reboot and is in the new Fast and Furious. Glad her career took off after the Suicide Squad.
