Definitely not. Coates inanvertently gave an elbow to the face running side by side, dudes tall it’ll happen. Not anything near a sending off though.

Coentrão I’m not even sure what that would be about. Maybe his slide tackle towards Jhonatan the keeper at the end. But he didn’t touch him. Jhonatan just acted like he got harpooned because it was the final seconds.

Sporting was lucky they tied today .

We were also lucky to win a couple of games so far. We also had by far the easiest schedule of the big 3.

Porto is faviourte not only to beat us next week but to win the title imho. Sporting will finish 3rd

    Player ratings:

Rui Patricio - Couldn't do anything on the goal but was at a good level saving us on other occasions. 7/10

Piccini - This game was pleading for Ristovski. Not good today from Piccini, while defending he did okay on 1v1's, offensively he was mediocre. 6.5/10

Coates - some lack of concentration for Seba, same with Mathieu 6.5/10

Mathieu - some moments revealed a lack of concentration today 6.5/10

Coentrao - not his best performance, seems to still be afraid to get injured, which hinders him offensively. Bad luck on the goal against us, the deflection came off him when it was crossed. 6.5/10

William - a real captain's performance in the second half IMO, culminating in the shot which led to the goal. Our best player today - didn't deserve the draw. 8/10

Bruno Fernandes - Oh JJ when will you learn to play Bruno as a N. 10 "e acabou"? Oh wait I know why - we need to find a way to play Alan "sacred cow" Ruiz every game. Alan can't play any other position (and isn't playing this one very well either) so Bruno is sacrificed. Here's a thought - Alan is a backup to Bruno at #10. Is that so hard? 7.5/10 because even out of position he was the main creative force.

Bruno Cesar - To be fair, he did make the cross for William's goal. But he is not a winger. I'd rather throw on Jovane Cabral from the B team, at least he's more explosive. How does he get so many chances? 6/10

Gelson - overall poor game, another shot off the underside of the bar, all he needed was to place the shot better and we would be talking about a 2-1 win. Looked like he might've had some injury hindering him, but the fact is a lot of failed dribbles and poor crosses again. 6.5/10

Alan Ruiz - I remember a decent shot in the first half. Other than that, you take out Battaglia, drop Bruno Fernandes deeper (who is not the same player defensively) and play Alan Ruiz and what do you get? A team in the first half who lost the midfield, does not put any pressure and suffered. 5.5/10

Bas Dost - It's obvious he's not in form, looking more like the Dost of Wolfsburg than the Dost of last season. Unable to capitalize on chances; in the 2nd half the Double D duo didn't work for the most part. When Doumbia plays, he needs to actually play deeper to lay-off the ball to Doumbia. Problem is he is used to playing as the main striker. They just haven't clicked yet. 6/10

    Subs:

Doumbia - came in to form a striker duo everyone wants to see with Dost. But they still don't understand eachother. It would have made more sense (again) to push Bruno Fernandes up. 6.5/10

Battaglia - Came in a bit too late, but still did his job. 6.5/10

Iuri - What a slap in the face Iuri has been! It's like mentally he feels the weight of playing for a big club and chokes. Everything he did was disastrous. To be fair, this is another player I don't consider a winger, more of a central player. 5/10

We have to look at the big picture

Moreirense sucks and will be battling for relegation

We haven't played any team that will likely finish in the top 6.

We were lucky to beat feirense , setubal, estoril .

We need to get better .

Disagree with Piccini. He did well to keep the play alive on our goal. He was one of the only bright spots on this team.

I also thought Alan Ruiz had a decent game. Had a great pass to Gelson that was mistakenly called offside and had a good shot on goal. He's just fat and slow.

Bruno Cesar was the weakest link on this team and he has been the weakest link so far this season. He can't run, he has no acceleration or speed. He sat there picking is nose leaving the attacker wide open on Moreirense's goal. He's a terrible player.

Looking at the current league table

Moreirense sits 3rd last and just above relegation

    Every team
Sporting has played is 8th place (guimaraes) or below !

It will only get more difficult from here , starting next week with Porto.
