Yea I think itll be that lineup except Acuna at wing and Jefferson at leftback. Both bad choices imo, but "safer" options
Pretty sure Argentina played with 3 at the back. Acuña was still more of a winger with defensive duties. But JJ played him at LB a few times last season.
I like your lineup but personally I would swap the fullbacks with Gaspar and Lumor. Would be nice to see what we got with them early in the season I already know what I’m getting with Jefferson and Acuña.
I don't mind Lumor to be honest. Play Acuna on LW and have Raphinha replace him at some point during the game.
Our starting 11 looks respectable but not gonna challenge for top 2 ...Our bench on the other hand is weak sauce .
I think we should lower our hopes a bit, we have to remember that this is an interim commission, doing interim work, we've had 2 coaching changes in the last month, we don't even know who our director of football is right now. It's already a huge positive that we got back 3 key players. Once the new president and his team gets elected they can start working towards squad building, hopefully not buying flops left and right but a quality team.
I still think Braga has a stronger lineup than us. Without someone in the midfield to tie everything together, amd a defensive midfielder to cover the back 4 and release the attack, were not going far. I think this game will be 1-0 or 1-1.

Halftime. Not sure what to say, kind of a strange game. There were some good attacking moments but also some periods where we couldnt seem to get the ball or pressure them when they had the ball. A lot of long ball too, a midfield with Battaglia and Petrovic has no creativity.
Why was Mattheus not even called up? Probably the best player in pre season. Hard game to watch tbh. Midfield doesn’t work, as predicted
