We're getting another one of these short rest teams? Happened also very recently - can't remember which team but I know for sure we either lost or tied.
We're getting another one of those venues where the Quakes have never won an MLS match. Happened also very (very) recently . . .
Coordination is our most glaring problem, especially on defense. We don't cover well, we get confused about assignments, we even get in each other's way. Also, who's going to sit for Guram? Ockford had a better game than Cummings against the ForestKillers. But I'll bet that Cummings plays and Ockford sits. Or maybe Partida sits and we play Ockford at left defender? Who knows? And we'll suck no matter how we address this. Go Quakes!! - Mark
I don't know about apathy. The guys do appear to be working hard for each other. Flo played his heart out against the ForestKillers, so did Ockford, and Magnus was pissed when he went off. I don't think he was angry with Stahre for subbing him, so much as that we were losing. Quincy and Wondo both played hard. Lima made a solid effort. Tarbell looks like a deer in the headlights, but he may well be shellshocked. Vako tried, but he's just too selfish. I think it's mostly lack of coordination and leadership from the coaching staff. Go Quakes!! - Mark
If the Quakes are going to win another game this season, the Montreal game is probably the best bet. Let's hope it goes better than it has in basically every other game they've played all year.
I once took a class in college in anti-utopian visions. This wasn't in it, but it should have been :\
Don’t know, but Montreal is a great place to visit, and I hope Joe has a great time and a great game!
I hope he doesn't bend over backwards to prove he's unbiased. (I'm just joking. I've heard great things about him from a trusted source before I knew he would be reffing a Quakes game.)
Second that. Went to Montreal on vacation last year and it was one of the best trips I've ever taken. If it wasn't for their inhospitable winters, I would have seriously considered moving there.
Look at it this way. If they win, Stahre is that much more likely to be coach in 2019. Takes the edge off of it a little maybe.
Actually, in a way it would be sort of funny if we won. We would have three wins in - what - 19 games, with two of them being away wins!?

I pray you are right. I have to be the only person from the Bay Area stupid enough to be going to the game.
Do you live in Montreal? I spent a couple of weeks in Montreal and Quebec back between my junior and senior year in high school and want to go back in the worst way. If you are visiting there, you'll just be wasting a couple of hours from an otherwise memorable trip, so your judgement is not at all in question!
Nope, live in Mtn.View. My daughter wanted to go to NY for her 8th grade graduation. I want to see every MLS stadium, so this was a great chance to knock MTL off the list with a short detour. Taking train down to NYC on Sunday.
I still think we actually have a shot in this one... Montreal are a flawed team... not as flawed as us, but they *could* get caught looking past this game. Hopefully not though, hoping for a loss followed by Stahre getting fired and Godoy traded.
