Surprised they sent Frattin back down though I guess it means the potential return of one Colton Orr

Leafs win 2-1 over the habs :)

Also we signed Lupul to a 5 year 5.25m per season contract. I think a bit risky considering he has had fitness concerns before.

That was some seriously sloppy hockey on Saturday - it looked like Marlies vs Bulldogs for the most part.

Thought the hockey was a little sharper tonight but we ran into a hot goalie, made it close at the end at least but have no goals from all that PP time in the first period was a killer.

No team mentioned in that link - sounds like Gillis has deal in principle worked out.

That's good to hear, sick hearing about him and where he is going to go.

Toronto come away 5-2 winners vs Pens though Lupul after signing a long term deal fractured his arm :(

Toronto gave up 5 unanswered goals in a 7-4 lost to the Islanders tonight with Ben Scrivens having a poor outing after letting in 5 goals on 20 shots, 3 of those goals being absolute stinkers.

Toronto blew another 2 goal lead but unless the last game, this one they were never in only due to Reimier (which was the only positive) which ended up being a 5-2 lost to the Rangers,

To make things worst the next game is in Buffalo on Tuesday where we never win a game.

Macarthur had majority of his nail ripped off from last game and apparently Komo got something in his eye from practise and neither will play. JVR will skate with Phil and Bozak. Phil needs to get some puck luck and score a goal...he needs to shut up Damien Cox from writing about trading him everyday.

Gardiner is back with the team and hopefully he can play so we don't see Dion on the ice for 32+ minutes.

Nice to see Kessel bag a goal or two to get the monkey/media off his back for a little bit.

Frattin with nice OT winner as the Leafs get a rare win in Buffalo tonight!

Mcclement, Kulie , Franson and Frattin played great last night. Nice to see these players picking up the slack from our top players.

Phil's definitely frustrated with the lack of scoring...Bowen said he needs a garbage goal.

Frattin with another game winner as the Leafs pull out a gusty 3-2 win over the Caps. Played a pretty decent game, Reimier was decent again though the PP looks a major worry.

Tough game vs Boston Saturday night, should be a very good test.

Kessel is still snakebit - played a great two way game but no luck around the net including a missed empty-netter.

Tough loss to the Bruins 1-0, didn't really create too much but good to see Reimier playing steady and keeping us in games.

Was at the game Saturday...Reimer was very solid. With a bit of puck luck, we could of earned a point.

We play Carolina tonight...we should get the 2 points.

Knowing Cam Ward and what he does to us he will break out of his funk tonight

And Jordan Staal has yet to score as well...what better team to break a goalless streak then against the Leafs.

After to tonight's effort - I'm concerned the math in the thread title is off - and hoping it's not an inverse relationship*.

    Ugh

*half the season - twice the disappointment :(

This game had everything wasn't hoping for, J. Staal scoring his first and Cam Ward somehow finding his form vs Toronto. I fear for our trip to Washington tomorrow.

Earned result last night against Washington...JVR with 2 goals and Holzer with his first. Phil continues his goalless steak.

    Neuvirth was just awful...

JVR really relishing this fresh opportunity with a new team and especially filling the void for Lupul since he has been hurt. One of the few positives from the season thus far.
