Not sure why people are acting like the comments totti made are unusual. Someone from our club whether it be coach or management have stated every year we are miles behind juve, and our realistic goal is to finish in top 3 and do well in champions league. Not for anything, but in the past we could have challenged juve but this year those comments are spot on.

I think this is the source of debate. Did Roma need to be in the position of selling itself out of contention? I can see the logic on both sides even though I happen to think we could have done with fewer changes.

I also don't think all of the issues are with our roster moves, I do think EDF needs to share in some of the blame for the poor start. To what degree people divide the blame between Monchi and EDF is certainly debatable.

I think the time is right for a new thread because this is now Monchi’s squad. He’s the assemblyman and it’s all him right now.

Schick is a different player compared to Dzeko and should be used tactically depending on who Roma plays against and not as rotation.

Still not sure why he is not used instead of Dzeko more often .

No I agree with you I was just pointing out that it wasnt the first time someone said our goal is to finish as close to juve as possible. We could have been the best team in italy right now with all the players we sold in just the last 2 seasons. PALOTTA did great to market us and get us out of whatever debt we were in, but destroyed us as well. You simply cant dismantle a great team, buy a bunch of players (mostly unproven) and think the results will be the same. This is like starting from scratch. This is the first time in a while that I'm really worried about this season.

with who we play in our next three matches, if we loose to any one of them, I will be very worried about the season. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need to stick with one formation and go. I really hope with all the matches we have coming up and all the game time our guys will see that it'll help but with but between Serie A and CL games, I don't know if we have a team right now that can put up a fight day in back to back games. I REALLY hope I'm wrong but if we start points to bottom level teams I will be worried.

With each passing year I dislike International soccer more and more. Just interrupts the real games and just another chance for my favorite players to get injured.

Seems like it's been 6 weeks since the last real games were played.
