Okay so I didn't get to watch the 2nd half of the Timbers Loons game, but Portland's new signings all looked great. I'll hold off on judging Minnesota though.
http://www.espnfc.com/united-states...t-national-team-players-must-stand-for-anthem Is this unconstitutional?
Private company -- no governmental action. Constitution doesn't apply. Boss can order you to salute and lick his bum and that's permitted unless the union contract says no or some state or federal employment statute says that isn't permitted. (And assuming the employer is large enough that said statute applies to that entity.) As the late, great George Carlin once explained -- "you don't have rights, you have a set of temporary privileges that can be taken away at any time." Just ask the U.S. citizens of Japanese descent who were interned in WWII what their "rights" were.
It takes sacrifice and dedication in your youth to accumulate the funds necessary to fulfill your ambition to retire to a balmy Caribbean Island at 30 and devote the rest of your life in search of the perfect Pina Colada. In other words, it's his life and disappointing geezers just doesn't figure into the equation
Great Pulisic goal. Barca died twice in that series; towards the end of the first game and when PSG scored that 5th now requiring 3 more goals in 30 minutes. But Barca came back and won that SOB. Will be interested in who they get next round.
Yea but they have some anger problems and are easily frustrated. The last 20 minutes of that game was a signal to other teams of how to handle them in the stretch
It's not worth the search but some morons here actually never want to see, hear, or know of Barca and they call themselves fans of the game. The result against Paris wasn't exactly like walking up to the tomb and wondering who rolled the stone back as far as miracles go, but it's going to be a tough one to beat in the religion we call soccer
Berhalter's seat must be getting warmer. Last year was a dumpster fire and this year is starting out as a repeat. I think he may be the first to go, with maybe Robinson in Vancouver following shortly thereafter.
Jeff Rueter@jeffrueter Commissioner Garber confirms that Los Angeles FC will enter without an expansion counterpart in 2018. #MLS
Worst back line ever? Statistically yes, worst back line ever. Only MLS team to give up 5 plus b2b. Ever.
Any chance of a competition among the 3 MLS Uniteds for who sux most at the end of the season? A 2 foot length of garden hose and a shiny new Titleist mounted on a chrome-free trailer hitch would make an interesting conversation starter in any team's trophy case. As for the moment, DC is safely mid table
